In this paper, we investigate the application of signal‐to‐leakage‐plus‐noise ratio (SLNR) beamforming to low Earth orbit non‐terrestrial networks. The SLNR criterion aims at maximizing the received desired signal power for each user while minimizing the overall interference power caused by each user to all other co‐channel receivers. We show that such

Scheduled-links multicast routing protocol in MANETs [PDF]
Dynamically changing of network topology due to node movement is considered a main challenge in providing reliable and low-cost paths in one to many ends of communication in mobile ad hoc networks. To address this challenge, this paper proposes a scheduled-links multicast routing protocol (SLMRP) based on mobility prediction.

This article presents an adaptive unmanned aerial vehicle video streaming framework in which captured video is encoded at multiple quality levels and protected using Luby transform (LT) coding before transmission over a wireless channel to a base station. At the receiver, LT decoding and latency monitoring are used to assess delivery performance, while

Energy-Efficient Algorithm for Multicasting in Duty-Cycled Sensor Networks
Multicasting is a fundamental network service for one-to-many communications in wireless sensor networks. However, when the sensor nodes work in an asynchronous duty-cycled way, the sender may need to transmit the same message several times to one group ...

This paper proposes a 3D geometry‐based stochastic model and its beam‐domain transformation for satellite‐to‐unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) communication channels across S to Q bands. The models capture key physical effects, including spatial consistency and atmospheric influence, while enabling efficient simulation of channel statistics under varying ...

Adaptive Bitrate Streaming With Video Quality Enhancement
We bring the new factor, DVQE sensitivity, into the bitrate selection for the QoE improvement of adaptive video streaming. We develop DSABR, which selects chunk bitrate with high DVQE sensitivity to improve video quality as well as reduce bandwidth usage, thereby achieving efficient performance in bandwidth‐constrained network environments.
