On Demodulation, Ridge Detection, and Synchrosqueezing for Multicomponent Signals [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2017
In this paper, we present a novel technique for the retrieval of the modes of a multicomponent signal using a time-frequency (TF) representation of the signal. Our approach is based on a novel ridge extraction method that takes into account the fact that the TF representation is both discrete in time and frequency, followed by a demodulation procedure.

Model of multicomponent micro-Doppler signal in environment MatLab

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2017
The article illustrates the problem of measuring the speed glider component targets in the presence of a turboprop effect of the reflected signal in a pulse-Doppler radar, proposed a model turboprop signal component and an algorithm for its ...

A Novel Thresholding Technique for the Denoising of Multicomponent Signals [PDF]

open access: yes2018 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), 2018
This paper addresses the issues of the denoising and retrieval of the components of multicomponent signals from their short-time Fourier transform (STFT). After having recalled the hard-thresholding technique, in the STFT context, we develop a new thresholding technique by exploiting some limitations of the former.

Separation of Multicomponent Micro-Doppler Signal with Missing Samples

open access: yesRemote Sensing
The problem of separating multicomponent micro-Doppler (m-D) signals is common in the field of radar signal processing. In some implementations, it is necessary to separate the multicomponent m-D signal that contains missing samples.

Experimental evolution of a pheromone signal

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, 2022
Sexual signals are important in speciation, but understanding their evolution is complex as these signals are often composed of multiple, genetically interdependent components.

Pseudo-Bayesian Approach for Robust Mode Detection and Extraction Based on the STFT

open access: yesSensors, 2022
This paper addresses the problem of disentangling nonoverlapping multicomponent signals from their observation being possibly contaminated by external additive noise. We aim to extract and to retrieve the elementary components (also called modes) present

Method of Elements Identification in the Multicomponent Signal

open access: yesControl Systems and Computers, 2023
To measure concentrations of toxic elements in analytical systems of ecological monitoring, a generative model of a multicomponent differential signal of stripping chronopotentiometry is used in the coordinates of potentials in time (е, dt/dе) in the form of a model of the capacitive background discharge of electrodes (base curve) and the sum of the ...
