Seismic‐electromagnetic signals from two monitoring stations in Southern Italy: Electromagnetic time series release

open access: yesGeoscience Data Journal
The seismic‐electromagnetic phenomenon entails the generation of transient electromagnetic signals, which can be observed both simultaneously (co‐seismic) and preceding (pre‐seismic) a seismic wave arrival. Following the most accredited hypothesis, these

Modulated Short-Time Fourier-Transform-Based Nonstationary Signal Decomposition for Dual-Comb Ranging Systems

open access: yesPhotonics
Analyzing and breaking down nonstationary signals into their primary components is significant in various optical applications. In this work, we design a direct, localized, and mathematically rigorous method for nonstationary signals by employing a ...

Design of time-frequency distributions for amplitude and if estimation of multicomponent signals

open access: yes, 2001
This paper presents a new class of time-frequency distributions (TFDs) suitable for efficient amplitude and instantaneous frequency (IF) estimation of mono- and multicomponent FM signals.

High‐Entropy Ceramic‐Enhanced Deformable Triboelectric Nanogenerator for Noncontact Biomechanical and Raindrop Energy Harvesting

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A large‐area, deformable high‐entropy‐ceramic (HEC)‐doped triboelectric nanogenerator with a trilayer architecture is developed, consisting of an HEC‐doped triboelectric layer, a graphite‐like textile charge‐storage layer, and stretchable carbon black electrodes.

The evolution of multi-component visual signals in darters (genus Etheostoma)

open access: yesCurrent Zoology, 2011
As complex traits evolve, each component of the trait may be under different selection pressures and could respond independently to distinct evolutionary forces.

Hardware Realization of Generalized Time-Frequency Distribution with Complex-Lag Argument

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2009
A hardware implementation of the Nth order complex-lag time-frequency distribution is proposed. The considered distribution provides an arbitrary high concentration for multicomponent signals with fast varying instantaneous frequency.

Resolving Nanoscale Heterogeneities in Lead Halide Perovskites Through Low‐Dose Concurrent 4D‐STEM‐EDX Mapping

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Mixed‐cation lead mixed‐halide perovskites suffer from structural instabilities linked to nanoscale heterogeneity. To probe this non‐destructively, a low‐dose, concurrent 4D‐STEM and EDX methodology has been developed. Examining a (FA0.83Cs0.17)Pb(I0.8Br0.2)3 film revealed a complex mosaic of coexisting crystal structures. Crucially, local deficiencies

Polymeric Sorbents as Energy‐Efficient Alternative to Cryogenic Distillation for Light Hydrocarbon Purification

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The transition from cryogenic distillation to polymeric sorbents for light hydrocarbon purification is crucial for energy and environmental sustainability. The polymeric sorbents are engineered to separate gas mixtures based on their specific properties.
