Application Multicriteria Decision Analysis on TV Digital
2008In domains (such as digital TV, smart home, and tangible interfaces) that represent new paradigms of interactivity, deciding the most appropriate interaction design solution is a challenge. There is not yet any work that explores how to consider the users’ experience with technology to analyze the best solution(s) to the interaction design of a mobile ...

The Sensitivity Analysis of “Inexact” Multicriteria Decisions
1997We elaborate a view of sensitivity analysis as a decision analysis activity. Our two main results concern: 1) a formal concept of “inexact” riskless preference; and 2) illustrative mathematical optimization problems for identifying “large” subsets of value function parameter values that preserve the preferability of a prescribed decision alternative.

Use of Multicriteria Decision Analysis to Address Conservation Conflicts
Conservation Biology, 2013Abstract Conservation conflicts are increasing on a global scale and instruments for reconciling competing interests are urgently needed. Multicriteria decision analysis (MCDA) is a structured, decision‐support process that can facilitate dialogue between groups with differing interests and incorporate human and environmental ...

Analysis of Qualitative and Quantitative Rankings in Multicriteria Decision Making
2009The decision procedures applied in MCDM (Multicriteria Decision Making) are the most suitable in coping with problems involved by social choices, which have to satisfy a high number of criteria. In such a framework an important role is played by the Analytic Hierarchy Process (A.H.P., for short), a procedure developed by T.L.

Multicriteria Analysis for Environmental Decision-Making
2019Multicriteria analysis, or MCA, has been increasingly used in environmental decision-making to support the identification of suitable courses of action by integrating factual information with value-based information collected through stakeholder engagement.

MULTICRITERIA DECISION ANALYSIS AND STRATEGIC UNCERTAINTIES
2007Coastal environments present a great variety of complex environmental problems that lack objectively “correct” answers due, in part, to significant uncertainties. Traditional planning and analytical tools are not well-suited to address these uncertainties.

Scenario Analysis and Multicriteria Decision Making
1997The use of scenarios as internally consistent representations of possible futures is being widely used for strategic planning, in preference to attempting to forecast the future in detail. This has two implications for the application of MCDM to strategic planning problems in large corporations or in the public sector.
