Toward a Sustainable Transportation Industry: Oil Company Benchmarking Based on the Extension of Linear Diophantine Fuzzy Rough Sets and Multicriteria Decision-Making Methods

IEEE transactions on fuzzy systems, 2023
Building a sustainable transportation system without involving international oil companies (IOCs) is an unrealistic feat. To date, no study has determined the best IOC and low-performing ones with respect to sustainable oil transportation, which is ...

Fuzzy Grey Choquet Integral for Evaluation of Multicriteria Decision Making Problems With Interactive and Qualitative Indices

IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems, 2021
Multicriteria decision making (MCDM) problems are often encountered in complex system design. Most of them need to be evaluated with a large number of interactive and qualitative indices, which are difficult to be addressed effectively through the ...

Some problems of evaluating multicriteria decision methods

International Journal of Management and Decision Making, 2007
This paper considers the constraints imposed on the values of particular criteria used in calculations by multicriteria methods of evaluating the alternatives in decision making. Simple but effective methods including sum of ranks and geometrical mean of the criterion value are analysed.

A multicriteria method for evaluating risks in virtual organizations

2014 12th IEEE International Conference on Industrial Informatics (INDIN), 2014
The development of collaborative environments has become a key factor for Service Providers (SPs) successfully leverage their business activities. Nevertheless, the volatility of these networks leads to several additional risks, that need to be identified, measured, and mitigated through a well-defined process.

A Multicriteria Decision Making Method for Evaluating Alternative Transportation Projects

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1997
Abstract A multicriteria decision making methodology is proposed for selecting among a set of transportation projects the most preferred alternative. The proposed methodology has the ability to deal with multiple and conflicting objectives, to consider both objectively and subjectively measured criteria, and to gauge the relative importance of ...

A method of multicriteria evaluation and optimization of hierarchical systems

Cybernetics and Systems Analysis, 2007
It is shown that any multicriterion problem can be represented by a hierarchical system. Individual properties of the object are evaluated at the lower level of the system, using a criterion vector; and a composition mechanism is used to evaluate the object as a whole at the upper level.
