2004Abstract Many different ethnic groups now form important minorities in our community. Sensitivity to matters of cultural importance can greatly enhance doctor–patient relations. Some background of relevance to health issues is given in relation to patients from Muslim, Asian, Jewish, Jehovah’s Witness and Afro-Caribbean communities.
