Pancreatic Tuberculosis: Role of Multidetector Computed Tomography

open access: yesCanadian Association of Radiologists Journal, 2011
Pancreatic tuberculosis (TB) is an extremely rare clinical entity even in countries with high endemism [1]. Men and women are affected equally, with a mean age of approximately 40 years [2]. It usually occurs as a complication of miliary TB and immunodeficiency, with isolated involvement of the pancreas being extremely rare.

Management of Median Arcuate Ligament Compression in Patients Undergoing Pancreaticoduodenectomy: A Systematic Review and Consensus Statements

open access: yesAsian Journal of Endoscopic Surgery, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Division of the pancreatic arterial arcade during pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD) can precipitate visceral ischemia in patients with celiac artery stenosis (CAS). This study investigated optimal management of CAS for patients undergoing PD—particularly stenosis caused by median arcuate ligament (MAL) compression—through a ...

Novel Methylation‐Based Model for Accurate Diagnosis of Upper Mediastinal Lymph Node Metastasis in Esophagogastric Junction Adenocarcinoma

open access: yesCancer Science, Volume 117, Issue 1, Page 169-180, January 2026.
DNA methylation‐based diagnostic model enables accurate, noninvasive identification of upper mediastinal lymph node metastasis and may guide personalized treatment strategies for patients with esophagogastric junction adenocarcinoma. ABSTRACT Even after surgical resection, the prognosis is poor for patients with esophagogastric junction adenocarcinoma ...

Multidetector Computed Tomography Angiography Findings of Chronic-Contained Thoracoabdominal Aortic Aneurysm Rupture with Severe Thoracal Vertebral Body Erosion

open access: yesCase Reports in Radiology, 2013
Chronic-contained aortic aneurysm rupture with vertebral erosion is a rare entity with fatal complications. Multidetector computed tomography (CT) angiography is an important diagnostic method for the evaluation of the aortic aneurysms, their ...

Validation of a paediatric thyroid phantom using different multidetector computed tomography models [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The aim of this study was to compare the attenuation values of a fabricated paediatric thyroid phantom material using different MDCT models. A paediatric thyroid phantom was designed to mimic the shape and size of a paediatric patient with an age of 9 ...

Computed tomography of the equine temporohyoid joint: Association between imaging changes and potential risk factors

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Journal, Volume 58, Issue 1, Page 125-133, January 2026.
Abstract Background Temporohyoid osteoarthropathy (THO) is characterised by bone proliferation and cartilage ossification caused by infectious and degenerative conditions, amongst others. Objectives To describe the variable appearance of the temporohyoid joint (THJ) on computed tomography (CT) and investigate associations between CT changes and ...

Anatomical and procedural features associated with aortic root rupture during balloon-expandable transcatheter aortic valve replacement [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Aortic root rupture is a major concern with balloon-expandable transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). We sought to identify predictors of aortic root rupture during balloon-expandable TAVR by using multidetector computed ...
