Advances in Multidetector Computed Tomography
Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography, 2004The improvement in multidetector computed tomography has had a tremendous impact on neuroimaging. Some of these strides include imaging in the setting of acute stroke with the advent of perfusion computed tomography, and studying intracranial aneurysms and, to some extent, carotid artery disease.

Multidetector computed tomography in life-threatening hemoptysis
Radiología (English Edition), 2013Life-threatening hemoptysis is a severe condition that requires rapid diagnosis and treatment. One of the treatments of choice is embolization. The initial assessment aims to locate the origin and cause of bleeding. The technological advance of the development of multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) has changed the management of patients with life ...

Multidetector computed tomography of the coronary arteries.
Italian heart journal : official journal of the Italian Federation of Cardiology, 2004Over the past decades, the feasibility of non-invasive coronary imaging has been explored using different modalities, such as magnetic resonance and electron beam computed tomography. Despite encouraging initial results, neither technique is yet considered suitable for routine clinical use.

Detection of pannus by multidetector-row computed tomography
The Annals of Thoracic Surgery, 2003Prosthetic valve dysfunction (PVD) due to pannus formation is an infrequent but serious complication. A 72-year-old man who underwent aortic valve replacement was diagnosed with PVD and aneurysm of the Sinus of Valsalva. Multidetector-row computed tomography (MDCT) was used to examine the cause of PVD before reoperation.

Multidetector Computed Tomography and Blunt Thoracoabdominal Trauma
Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography, 2004Computed tomography has had an increasing role in the evaluation of patients after blunt trauma. Important findings in thoracic trauma include acute traumatic aortic injury, pneumothorax, hemothorax, pulmonary contusions and lacerations, mediastinal hematoma, and diaphragmatic rupture.

Assessment of cardiac volumes by multidetector computed tomography
Journal of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, 2008Quantitative evaluation of cardiac ventricular and atrial chamber sizes, ventricular function, and left ventricular mass is important for prognosis and management. The most common methods for quantitative evaluation have been echocardiography and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging.

Morphological evaluation of the coccyx with multidetector computed tomography
Surgical and Radiologic Anatomy, 2019This study aims to evaluate the morphology of the coccyx in adults with multidetector computed tomography and to contribute to the classification of the coccyx using intercoccygeal and sacrococcygeal angle measurements. The pelvic computed tomography images of 224 patients were retrospectively evaluated.

Multidetector Computed Tomography Imaging of Aortoenteric Fistula
Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography, 2004Three case reports illustrating multidetector computed tomography (CT) imaging findings of secondary aortoenteric fistula (AEF) are described and presented in axial sections, multiplanar reformats, and 3-dimensional reconstruction. Fistulae occurred in the early and late postgrafting period and involved both end-to-end and end-to-side aortic graft ...
