Multidimensional phase problems
Journal of the Optical Society of America A, 1996Uniqueness properties of phase problems in three or more dimensions are investigated. It is shown that an N-dimensional image is overdetermined by its continuous Fourier amplitude. A sampling of the Fourier amplitude, with a density approximately 22−N times the Nyquist density, is derived that is sufficient to uniquely determine an N-dimensional image.

Multidimensional Knapsack Problems
2004In this first chapter of extensions and generalizations of the basic knapsack problem (KP) we will add additional constraints to the single weight constraint (1.2) thus attaining the multidimensional knapsack problem. After the introduction we will deal extensively with relaxations and reductions in Section 9.2.

Abstract In this chapter we lay out a set of interrelated phenomena: Women are underrepresented in math-intensive STEM fields; they are also underrepresented at the extremes of the spatial cognition and mathematic aptitude distributions; and there is some evidence that spatial cognition is a causal agent in mastering complex math ...

KT‐pseudoinvex multidimensional control problem
Optimal Control Applications and Methods, 2018SummaryIn this paper, we define a Kuhn‐Tucker (KT)–pseudoinvex multidimensional control problem. More exactly, we introduce a new condition on the functions, which are involved in a multidimensional control problem, and we prove that a KT‐pseudoinvex multidimensional control problem is characterized such that a KT point is an optimal solution. Thus, we

Computation for MultiDimensional Cauchy Problem
SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 2003The authors deal with a regularization method in order to solve numerically the classical Cauchy problem for the Laplace equation. They prove the convergence and the stability of the method even when the Cauchy data have noises. A numerical example in the three-dimensional case is carried out.

Homelessness: A multidimensional problem
Children and Youth Services Review, 1989Abstract The investigation reported in this article concerns 212 homeless adolescents in Amsterdam, Holland. The results are presented in Five dimensions: negative family backgrounds, long history of professional help, negative experiences at school, few friends, and low self-perception. Homeless youngsters are in high risk situations which make them

Multidimensional inverse scattering problems
DIPED - 99. Direct and Inverse Problems of Electromagnetic and Acoustic Wave Theory. Proceedings of 4th International Seminar/Workshop (IEEE Cat. No.99TH8402), 1999Summary form only given, as follows. An overview of the author's results is given. The inverse problems for obstacle, geophysical and potential scattering are considered. The basic method for proving uniqueness theorems in one- and multi-dimensional inverse problems is discussed and illustrated by numerous examples.

Multidimensional Test Problems
1997This chapter is concerned with tests for assessing numerical solutions to multidimensional problems. The assessment of the numerical methods to be used in practical computations, prior to their actual application, is of considerable importance and cannot be emphasised enough.
