Studies of Multiferroic Palladium Perovskites [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2019
AbstractWe have studied the atomic force microscopy (AFM), X-ray Bragg reflections, X-ray absorption spectra (XAS) of the Pd L-edge, Scanning electron microscopey (SEM) and Raman spectra, and direct magnetoelectric tensor of Pd-substituted lead titanate and lead zirconate-titanate.

Single Crystal Growth of Multiferroic Double Perovskites: Yb2CoMnO6 and Lu2CoMnO6

open access: yesCrystals, 2017
We report on the growth of multiferroic Yb2CoMnO6 and Lu2CoMnO6 single crystals which were synthesized by the flux method with Bi2O3. Yb2CoMnO6 and Lu2CoMnO6 crystallize in a double-perovskite structure with a monoclinic P21/n space group.

Geometry–Dependent Magnetoelectric and Exchange Bias Effects of the Nano L–T Mode Bar Structure Magnetoelectric Sensor

open access: yesMicromachines, 2023
The geometry–dependent magnetoelectric (ME) and exchange bias (EB) effects of the nano ME sensor were investigated. The sensor consisted of the Longitudinal–Transverse (L–T) mode bi–layer bar structure comprising the ferromagnetic (FM) and ferroelectric (

Intrinsic Ferroelectricity in Charge-Ordered Magnetite

open access: yesCrystals, 2019
Single crystalline magnetite Fe3O4 was investigated at low temperatures in the charge ordered state by electric measurements and time-resolved diffraction with voltage applied in-situ.

Modeling and Design for Magnetoelectric Ternary Content Addressable Memory (TCAM)

open access: yesIEEE Journal on Exploratory Solid-State Computational Devices and Circuits, 2022
This article proposes a novel magnetoelectric (ME) effect-based ternary content addressable memory (TCAM). The potential array-level write and search performances of the proposed ME-TCAM are studied using experimentally calibrated compact physical models

Emergent Surface Multiferroicity

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters
We show that the surface of a centrosymmetric, collinear, compensated antiferromagnet, which hosts bulk ferroically ordered magnetic octupoles, exhibits a linear magnetoelectric effect, a net magnetization, and a net electric dipole moment. Thus, the surface satisfies all the conditions of a multiferroic, in striking contrast to the bulk, which is ...
