We have fabricated new perovskite multiferroic PbFe $_{1/2}$ Sb $_{1/2}$ O _3 with a high degree (up to 0.9) of chemical ordering and unexpectedly high-temperature magnetic relaxor properties, which can barely be described within concepts of conventional

In this work, a combination of 4D STEM phase reconstructions via iterative electron ptychography, spectroscopy, and conventional STEM imaging reveals detailed insights into the nucleation mechanism for the stable growth of Cu‐based delafossites on Al2O3 using CuCrO2 and CuFeO2 films grown via MBE as examples.

Low magnetic field reversal of electric polarization in a Y-type hexaferrite
Magnetoelectric multiferroics in which ferroelectricity and magnetism coexist have attracted extensive attention because they provide great opportunities for the mutual control of electric polarization by magnetic fields and magnetization by electric ...

Novel Electroactive Therapeutic Platforms for Cardiac Arrhythmia Management
Electroactive platforms offer promising applications in cardiac arrhythmia. Based on their energy sources and mechanisms, electroactive platforms are categorized into i) direct electrical stimulation, ii) self‐powered electroactive systems, iii) physical stimuli‐mediated electroactive systems, and iv) conductive systems, and their applications in ...

Accessing electromagnetic properties of matter with cylindrical vector beams
Cylindrical vector beam (CVB) is a structured lightwave characterized by its topologically nontrivial nature of the optical polarization. The unique electromagnetic field configuration of CVBs has been exploited to optical tweezers, laser accelerations ...

Impurity effects in multiferroic compounds [PDF]
We investigate the effect of impurities in multiferroic materials using an equation of motion approach for the spin dynamics of the host multiferroic compound. We model the impurities as a two-level system and focus on the regime where the impurity spins relax slowly.
