Geometric-phase intraocular lenses with multifocality
Multifocal and extended depth-of-focus intraocular lenses (IOLs) embedding μm-thin geometric phase (GP) layers are demonstrated. GP-IOLs will alleviate blurred vision and photic phenomena of conventional presbyopia-correction IOLs.

Optimizing outcomes with multifocal intraocular lenses
Modern day cataract surgery is evolving from a visual restorative to a refractive procedure. The advent of multifocal intraocular lenses (MFIOLs) allows greater spectacle independence and increased quality of life postoperatively.

Multifocal intraocular lenses and retinal diseases. [PDF]
Abstract Purpose Multifocal intraocular lenses (MIOLs) are often discouraged in patients with or at risk of retinal disorders (including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and epiretinal membranes), as MIOLs are believed to reduce contrast sensitivity (CS).
