Multifractality for Intermediate Quantum Systems

open access: yesActa Physica Polonica A, 2023
While quantum multifractality has been widely studied in the physics literature and is by now well understood from the point of view of physics, there is little work on this subject in the mathematical literature. I will report on a proof of multifractal scaling laws for arithmetic uSeba billiards.

Exact relations between multifractal exponents at the Anderson transition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Two exact relations between mutlifractal exponents are shown to hold at the critical point of the Anderson localization transition. The first relation implies a symmetry of the multifractal spectrum linking the multifractal exponents with indices $q1/2$.

Multifractal Features and Dynamical Thresholds of Temperature Extremes in Bangladesh

open access: yesFractal and Fractional, 2023
Multifractal detrended fluctuation analysis (DFA) can extract multi-scaling behavior and measure long-range correlations in climatic time series. In this study, with the help of multifractal DFA, we investigated the scaling behavior of daily minimum ...

Modelo Multifractal Aplicado al Riego

open access: yesRevista de Matemática: Teoría y Aplicaciones, 2012
We define the binomial multifractal distribution as an expression of a law of small numbers. We studied a form of evaluation or design of a distribution system in an irrigation district by determining its conduction capacity with the desired flexibility ...

Expecting the Unexpected: Entropy and Multifractal Systems in Finance

open access: yesEntropy, 2023
Entropy serves as a measure of chaos in systems by representing the average rate of information loss about a phase point’s position on the attractor. When dealing with a multifractal system, a single exponent cannot fully describe its dynamics, necessitating a continuous spectrum of exponents, known as the singularity spectrum. From an investor’s point

Fractal Analysis of Power Grid Faults and Cross Correlation for the Faults and Meteorological Factors

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Power-grid faults pose a great threat to the economy and to social stability. In this paper, the detrended fluctuation analysis method is used to investigate the scaling properties of power grid faults and the correlation between faults and ...

Stability Analysis of the Left Bank Slope of Baihetan Hydropower Station Based on the MF-DFA Method

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2020
Based on the left bank slope of Baihetan hydropower station in Southwestern China, a high-precision microseismic monitoring system was established. An early warning model of surrounding rock mass deformation and failure based on MF-DFA was proposed.

Multifractal wave functions of simple quantum maps [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We study numerically multifractal properties of two models of one-dimensional quantum maps, a map with pseudointegrable dynamics and intermediate spectral statistics, and a map with an Anderson-like transition recently implemented with cold atoms.
