Occupational and public field exposure from communication, navigation, and radar systems used for air traffic control [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Electromagnetic exposure (occupational and general public) to 14 types of air traffic control (ATC) systems is assessed. Measurement methods are proposed for in situ exposure assessment of these ATC systems.

Multistatic Synthetic Aperture Radar Autofocus for Back Projection Imaging of a Moving Target

open access: yesElectronics Letters, Volume 61, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
This paper presents a new metric‐based autofocus approach, called Localised Threshold Sharpness (LTS), which employs Multistatic SAR data to localise and focus a target moving with up to six degrees of freedom motion on a real‐time, pulse‐by‐pulse basis.

Optimal Ground‐Based Anchor Placements for Least‐Squares Multilateration

open access: yesElectronics Letters, Volume 61, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
We investigate the optimal placement of ground‐based anchors for three‐dimensional multilateration using a least‐squares approach. By analysing the error variance under the equidistance assumption, we derive a target‐independent cost function and propose optimal placements for both norm‐constrained and boundary‐constrained scenarios.

Participation in Multilateral Treaties* [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
This section records the participation of Asian states in open multilateral law-making treaties which mostly aim at world-wide adherence. It updates the treaty sections of earlier Volumes until 31 December 2023. New data are preceded by a reference to the most recent previous entry in the multilateral treaties section of the Asian Yearbook of ...

Insights into Corncrake (Crex crex) movements in a fragmented agricultural landscape using bioacoustics with implications for nature conservation strategies

open access: yesConservation Science and Practice, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2025.
A noninvasive bioacoustics approach was used to study corncrake movements in a fragmented Irish agricultural landscape. We found that males moved an average of 415 m within a season and 375 m between years. Landscape features such as connectivity and suitable habitat area influenced their movements.
