Fully Printed Multilayer Flexible Structure for 3D Assembly on Irregular Substrates for Hybrid Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials
In this study, a functional multilayer structure is manufactured for 3D assembly onto a three‐dimensional irregular surface. Conformal flexible devices are printed using Piezojet, screw ink dispenser, and doctor blade coating techniques onto stretchable ...

MXene Wrapped Magnetic Mesocrystals for Durable Redox Catalytic Cancer Therapy and Responsive MRI

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Conformal wrapping of ultrathin Ti3C2Tx MXene nanosheets on Fe3O4 mesocrystals creates topology‐stabilized Schottky junctions that direct photoinduced electron transfer under NIR irradiation. The unique architecture sustains Fenton catalysis, promotes continuous hydroxyl radical production, and provides photo‐responsive MRI contrast.

Infrared-Reflective Coating on Fused Silica for a Solar High-Temperature Receiver

open access: yes, 2007
In concentrating solar power, high-temperature solar receivers can provide heat to highly efficient cycles for electricity or chemical production. Excessive heating of the fused-silica window and the resulting recrystallization are major problems of high-

Corrosion Resistance of Arc Ion-Plated CrN/CrAlN Multilayer Coatings Before and After Wear Testing: Interface Effects in Marine Environments

open access: yesMetals
In marine service environments, material surfaces inevitably suffer from wear damage, which can compromise the integrity of protective coatings and further affect their corrosion resistance.

Influence of Multilayer Structure on the Structural and Mechanical Properties of TiAlN/CrN Coatings for Advanced Machining Applications [PDF]

open access: yesArchives of Metallurgy and Materials
This study investigates single and multilayer TiAlN/CrN nanocomposite thin films developed using an RF magnetron sputtering system. The TiAlN and CrN layers showed a high degree of orientation, with the (200) peak being the strongest peak in both layers,

Designing Stable Periodic Magnetization Textures by Tailoring Anisotropies and Applying Geometrical Transformation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work explores the possibility to design stable periodic magnetization textures by transforming a 2D film into a rolled‐up 3D architecture and back. In case of an isotropic exchange‐biased layer architecture, the magnetization encoded in the 3D state evolves into a spin‐spiral pattern with controlled periodicity after unrolling.

The effect of roughness and top layer in solid particle impingement erosion of multilayer nanostructured nitride PVD coatings

open access: yesResults in Surfaces and Interfaces
The effect of the surface roughness of the coating and the composition of the upper layer on the solid particle erosion of multilayer nanostructured coatings applied via cathodic arc evaporation (CAEPVD) method was investigated.

Review of the Multilayer Coating Model

open access: yes, 2014
Structures of alternating layers of superconducting (Sc) and insulating films formed on a bulk Sc proposed by A. Gurevich in 2006 are actively discussed these years, because of their great possibility in reducing power consumptions and in enhancing RF breakdown field of the Sc RF cavity. On Apr.
