A Compact Low-Loss Multilayer SIW Diplexer at K/Ka-Band

This contribution deals with a compact substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) diplexer for terminal array antennas at K-/Ka-band. The diplexer connects the transmit (Tx) and the receive (Rx) frontend with an antenna element. It is comprised of a bifurcation and two second order bandpass filters with low insertion loss.

Optimum design of a miniaturized multilayer SIW diplexer using orthogonal-mode resonator

The optimum design of a miniaturized multilayer SIW diplexer in the X-band is presented using the orthogonal mode square resonator, which replaces the conventional T-junctions connecting the lower and upper frequency channels. The placement of metallic posts in the SIW excites two degenerate orthogonal modes.

Design of multilayer frequency‐selective surface for diplexing two closely spaced channels

AbstractA frequency‐selective surface consisting of three arrays of ring elements is analyzed. It is shown that broad transmission and reflection bands can be generated with separation ratios of less than 1.03:1. Measurements confirm that the diplexer performance is relatively insensitive to the angle and plane of incidence.

Design of multilayer spiral inductor resonator filter and diplexer for system-in-a-package

A compact L-shaped multilayer spiral inductor resonator filter and diplexer using inductor type resonators are proposed. The design is based on the self-resonant frequency of the spiral inductors and electromagnetic coupling between the resonators. The filter was built, and measurement results show good agreement with the simulation data.
