Bacterial Cellulose‐Based Bilayer Passive Cooler for High‐Performance Radiative/Evaporative Cooling

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A sustainable bilayer passive cooler based on bacterial cellulose integrates radiative and evaporative cooling for efficient zero‐energy temperature reduction. The scalable, low‐carbon material shows strong potential for food preservation, low‐temperature storage, and cold‐chain logistics.

Tailoring Light Management in All‐Perovskite Tandem Solar Cells: The Impact of Nanotextures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
To further improve the power conversion efficiency of all‐perovskite tandem solar cells, light management strategies need to be implemented. Front‐sided nanotextures reduce reflection losses, which boosts light absorption, thus increasing the tandem JSC, which is further supported by reducing parasitic absorption.

Improved magnetostriction of Tb-Dy-Fe/Dy–Cu multilayer films by introducing interfacial stress due to the semi coherent interface

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
Magnetostrictive thin films are commonly applied in micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS). Tb-Dy-Fe thin films have large magnetostrictive strain and high response frequency, which can efficiently realize the conversion of mechanical energy and ...

Stress induced enhanced polarization in multilayer BiFeO3/BaTiO3 structure with improved energy storage properties

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2015
Present work reports the fabrication of a multilayer (5-layer) structure of BiFeO3(BFO)/BaTiO3(BTO) using spin-coating technique. The crystallographic structure, surface morphology and ferroelectric behavior of multilayer structure in metal-ferroelectric-

Sky‐Directional Radiative Cooling Meta‐Films for Daylighting Windows

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A geometry‐mediated microprism meta‐film enables transparent, sky‐directional radiative cooling for daylighting windows. By decoupling control of visible transmittance from mid‐infrared emissivity, ground‐emitted heat absorption is suppressed while skyward heat dissipation is enhanced.

Zein Multilayer Electrospun Nanofibers Contain Essential Oil: Release Kinetic, Functional Effectiveness, and Application to Fruit Preservation

open access: yesFoods
In this study, sequential electrospinning was employed to produce a multilayer film consisting of zein nanofibers (Z) and Zataria multiflora essential oil (ZMEO) with different layers. The layers include: Z (without ZMEO), Z1 (one layer of Z + ZMEO), Z3 (

Gradient‐Conductivity Architecture Enables Synchronous Enhancement of Sensitivity and Detection Range in Multifunctional All‐Paper Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A gradient‐engineered all‐paper sensor is fabricated by integrating MXene and in situ grown AgNPs within hierarchical cellulose networks. The device breaks the sensitivity–detection range trade‐off through cascaded conductive pathways, enabling ultrahigh pressure sensitivity, humidity–pressure decoupled dual‐mode sensing, and outstanding EMI shielding,

Engineering Local Polar Frustration in Lead‐Free Dielectric Ceramics for Ultrahigh Normalized Energy Storage Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Local polar frustration is engineered to stabilize an ergodic relaxer through nanoscale multiphase coexistence, suppressing long‐range ferroelectric order while preserving high polarization. This strategy delivers ultrahigh low‐field normalized energy density (Wa >0.020 mC cm−2), exceptional thermal stability, and a transferable design principle for ...
