3D Anodic Alumina Nanoarchitectures: A Decade of Progress from Foundational Science to Functional Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ordered three‐dimensional anodic aluminum oxide (3D‐AAO) nanoarchitectures with longitudinal and transverse pores enable architecture‐driven metamaterials. The review maps fabrication advances, including hybrid pulse anodization, and shows how 3D‐AAO templates tailor properties across magnetism, energy, catalysis, and sensing.

Orthonormalization of Substrate and Guided Modes in Effective Resonator Model of Dielectric Multilayer Structure

open access: yes, 2007
In this paper, the orthonormal sets of substrate and guided modes are derived from electromagnetic field distributions of a dielectric multilayer structure, which have been obtained using the effective resonator model, presented in Acta Phys. Pol. A, 111,

Flexible Dielectric Acoustic Resonator Patch for Tissue Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A flexible dielectric acoustic resonator patch enables MHz‐range ultrasound generation through resonance amplification without using piezoelectric materials. Conformal integration on a curved substrate allows efficient acoustic delivery to tissue‐mimicking environments.

Novel periodically loaded multilayer resonators

open access: yes, 2002
In this paper novel 3D periodic multilayer structures are investigated in MIC technology, and a periodically loaded multilayer waveguide resonant structure is proposed. This is a very compact structure and still maintains simple fabrication process.

Measurement of Thermo-Optic Properties of Thin Film Dielectric Coatings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We have carried out an experiment to test the theory of the thermo-optic response of a dielectric stack mirror coating and to measure parameters of interest in calculating thermo-optic noise. Specifically, we measured the coefficient of thermal expansion

Role of the Recombination Zone in Organic Light‐Emitting Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review summarizes the critical role of the recombination zone in organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs). We highlight that broadening the recombination zone in OLEDs based on emissive layers with balanced charge transport and high photoluminescence quantum yields provides a promising route toward achieving both long operational lifetime and high ...
