Multilevel Analysis in CSCL Research [PDF]
The aim of this chapter is to explain why multilevel analysis (MLA) is often necessary to correctly answer the questions CSCL researchers address. Although CSCL researchers continue to use statistical techniques such as analysis of vari-ance or regression analysis, their datasets are often not suited for these techniques.

Fitting three-level meta-analytic models in R: A step-by-step tutorial [PDF]
Applying a multilevel approach to meta-analysis is a strong method for dealing with dependency of effect sizes. However, this method is relatively unknown among researchers and, to date, has not been widely used in meta-analytic research.
