A New Zero-Inflated Negative Binomial Multilevel Model for Forecasting the Demand of Disaster Relief Supplies in the State of Sao Paulo, Brazil

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
This article presents the results of the implementation of a forecasting model, to predict the relief materials needed for assisting in decisions prior to natural disasters, thus filling a gap in the exploration of Generalized Linear Mixed Models (GLMM ...

Modeling of multilevel converters

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 1997
In this paper, the imbricated cells multilevel converters are studied and modeled from a control view point. These converters make use of several switches connected in a series, which allows using switches with reduced voltage ratings; these low voltage switches have lower conduction losses and can switch at higher frequency.

Why we (usually) don't have to worry about multiple comparisons [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Applied researchers often find themselves making statistical inferences in settings that would seem to require multiple comparisons adjustments. We challenge the Type I error paradigm that underlies these corrections.

Workers’ emotional exhaustion and mental well-being over the COVID-19 pandemic: a Dynamic Structural Equation Modeling (DSEM) approach

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2023
The COVID-19 pandemic has presented significant challenges to the workforce, particularly concerning emotional and mental well-being. Given the prolonged periods of work-related stress, unexpected organizational changes, and uncertainties about work ...

性別、自我效能、工作價值、科學素養及學校層次因素對臺灣青少年學習情緒之影響:個人與情境交互作用之多層次分析 The Impact of Gender, Self-Efficacy, Task Value, Scientific Literacy, and School-Level Factors on Taiwanese Teenagers’ Academic Emotions: A Multilevel Analysis of Person-Context Interactions

open access: yesJournal of Research in Education Sciences, 2011

Modeling Inventory Cost Savings and Supply Chain Success Factors: A Hybrid Robust Compromise Multi-Criteria Approach

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
Determining success factors for managing supply chains is a relevant aspect for companies. Then, modeling the relationship between inventory cost savings and supply chain success factors is a route for stating such a determination.

Principles of multilevel modelling [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Epidemiology, 2000
Multilevel modelling, also known as hierarchical regression, generalizes ordinary regression modelling to distinguish multiple levels of information in a model. Use of multiple levels gives rise to an enormous range of statistical benefits. To aid in understanding these benefits, this article provides an elementary introduction to the conceptual basis ...

REndo: Internal Instrumental Variables to Address Endogeneity

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Software, 2023
Endogeneity is a common problem in any causal analysis. It arises when the independence assumption between an explanatory variable and the error in a statistical model is violated.

Fitting multilevel multivariate models with missing data in responses and covariates that may include interactions and non-linear terms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The paper extends existing models for multilevel multivariate data with mixed response types to handle quite general types and patterns of missing data values in a wide range of multilevel generalized linear models.
