The CHull procedure for selecting among multilevel component solutions

Chemometrics and Intelligent Laboratory Systems, 2011
Recently, Timmerman [1] proposed a class of multilevel component models for the analysis of two-level multivariate data. These models consist of a separate component model for each level in the data. Specifically, the between-differences are captured by a between-component model and the within-differences by a within-component model.

A multiblock/multilevel mesh refinement procedure for CFD computations

International Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids, 2001
AbstractA multiblock/multilevel algorithm with local refinement for general two‐ and three‐dimensional fluid flow is presented. The patched‐based local refinement procedure is presented in detail and algorithmic implementations are also presented. The multiblock implementation is essentially block‐unstructured, i.e.

Analysis of a Multilevel Inverse Iteration Procedure for Eigenvalue Problems

SIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis, 1982
We define and analyze a procedure for computing approximate eigenvalues and eigenfunctions for self -adjoint elliptic operators using a combination of inverse iteration and a multilevel iterative technique. This algorithm achieves the optimal order work estimates typical of multilevel techniques.

Multilevel decomposition procedure for efficient design optimization of helicopter rotor blades

AIAA Journal, 1995
This paper addresses a multilevel decomposition procedure, for efficient design optimization of helicopter blades, with the coupling of aerodynamics, blade dynamics, aeroelasticity, and structures. The multidisciplinary optimization problem is decomposed into three levels.

A 7-Level Switched Capacitor Multilevel Inverter With Reduced Switches and Voltage Stresses

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems - II - Express Briefs, 2021
This brief presents a novel switched-capacitor multilevel inverter (SCMLI). The inverter can produce a 7-level output voltage utilizing a dc source, nine switches, two series-connected diodes, and three capacitors.

Doubly Latent Multilevel Procedures for Organizational Assessment and Prediction

Journal of Business and Psychology, 2021
Organizational research has a rich tradition of multilevel investigations anchored in a long-standing recognition that conclusions obtained at the individual level of analysis cannot be expected to generalize at other levels. Doubly latent multilevel methods, which provide the way to combine multilevel analyses and structural equation models into a ...

A model-based imputation procedure for multilevel regression models with random coefficients, interaction effects, and nonlinear terms.

Psychological methods, 2019
Despite the broad appeal of missing data handling approaches that assume a missing at random (MAR) mechanism (e.g., multiple imputation and maximum likelihood estimation), some very common analysis models in the behavioral science literature are known to

A multilevel analysis of procedural justice context

Journal of Organizational Behavior, 1998
Summary Using a multilevel framework, we hypothesized that both employee perceptions ofprocedural justice and a work unit level measure of procedural justice context would beassociated with employee reports of job satisfaction and organizational commitment.Three hundred and twenty-three employees from 53 branches of a financial servicesorganization were

On Parameters Estimation Procedures in Multilevel Models

SSRN Electronic Journal, 2004
We examine maximum likelihood estimation procedures in multilevel models relatedbto two-level hierarchically structured data. Usually, for fixed effects and variance components estimation, multivariate normal distribution is assumed. Here we consider for random effects multivariate exponential power distribution (MEP), which represents one of the ...

Mathematical proof of a harmonic elimination procedure for multilevel inverters

Mathematics and Computers in Simulation, 2021
Abstract In this paper, a single phase cascaded H-bridge inverter with s variable dc sources ( s ≥ 2 ), l = 2 s + 1 levels has been considered. A mathematical proof is presented to demonstrate that, under a particular choice of the switching angles, which number corresponds to the number of dc sources i.e.
