Multimedia Retrieval Algorithmics

2007
After text retrieval, the next waves in web searching and multimedia retrieval are the search for and delivery of images, music, video, and 3D scenes. Not only the perceptual and cognitive aspects, but also many of the algorithmic and performance aspects are still badly understood.

Multimedia information retrieval

Proceedings of the 1st ACM international conference on Multimedia information retrieval, 2008
Since its inception, Multimedia Information Retrieval (MIR) has made good steady progress, but has not been able to keep up with the speed at which needs for this technology evolved. We are at a very important juncture in the development of technology. MIR has potential to be more significant than the current search technology. Different components and

Retrieving multimedia presentations from multimedia server

Proceedings. 2004 International Conference on Information and Communication Technologies: From Theory to Applications, 2004., 2004
We present the delivery of multimedia presentation from multimedia server. More precisely, we focus on admission control and buffer management. We propose two approaches to optimize the delivery schedules. The first approach optimizes the server workload when the second optimizes the presentation response time.
