Loeffler’s Endocarditis: An Integrated Multimodality Approach
Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography, 2020Loeffler's endocarditis (LE) is the cardiac manifestation of hypereosinophilic syndrome, a rare systemic disease characterized by the sustained production of eosinophils leading to organ damage. Few data, principally by case reports, are available regarding the diagnostic workup in patients with suspected LE. Thus, we have performed a systematic search

A Multimodal Approach to Mapping Soundscapes
IGARSS 2018 - 2018 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2018We explore the problem of mapping soundscapes, that is, predicting the types of sounds that are likely to be heard at a given geographic location. Using a novel dataset, which includes geo-tagged audio and overhead imagery, we develop an approach for constructing an aural atlas, which captures the geospatial distribution of soundscapes.

A multimodal approach to music transcription
2008 15th IEEE International Conference on Image Processing, 2008Music transcription refers to extraction of a human readable and interpretable description from a recording of a music performance. Treatment ofCraniopharyngiomas: The Multimodality Approach
Pediatric Neurosurgery, 2008A Multimodality Protocol for the treatment of craniopharyngiomas, where stereotactic methods are used preferentially, give long-term results not inferior to those reported when microsurgical removal has been the first therapeutic choice. Case material, treated in accordance with this protocol, is presented in a long-term perspective.

A Multimodal Approach to Elimination of Stuttering
Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1980Various approaches have been used in the treatment of stuttering. However, none of these approaches have been systematically incorporated via a multifaceted treatment program for the elimination of this disorder. The following case of a 15-yr.-old stutterer is presented to illustrate Lazarus' Multimodal Behavior Therapy Model, which is proposed to ...

MULTIMODAL APPROACH TO SCREENING FOR OVARIAN CANCER
The Lancet, 19881010 postmenopausal women were recruited for an ovarian cancer screening programme incorporating serum CA-125 measurement and vaginal examination as initial tests and real-time ultrasonography as a secondary procedure in selected cases. The normal range for serum CA-125 in postmenopausal women was established.

A Hierarchical Approach to Multimodal Classification
2005Data models that are induced in classifier construction often consists of multiple parts, each of which explains part of the data. Classification methods for such models are called the multimodal classification methods. The model parts may overlap or have insufficient coverage. How to deal best with the problems of overlapping and insufficient coverage?
