The Efficiency of Missing at Random Planned Missing Designs
Planned Missing Designs (PMDs) allow for different sets or patterns of variables to be collected from sample units. While the typical motivation for PMDs is to manage respondent burden, they can also reduce data collection costs and provide flexibility ...

Magnetic doping of the topological insulator Bi2Te3 with erbium adatoms induces out‐of‐plane magnetism and breaks time‐reversal symmetry, opening a Dirac gap and driving a Fermi surface transition from hexagonal to star‐of‐David geometry. Microscopy, spectroscopy, and magnetic dichroism reveal atomically controlled magnetic interactions that tailor the

Exact Computation of Pearson Statistics Distribution and Some Experimental Results
A Markov chain based algorithms for exact and approximate computation of Pearson statistics distribution for multinomial scheme are described. Results of computational experiments reveal some new properties of the difference between this distribution and

Chiral Acoustic Phonon and Conservation of Pseudoangular Momentum in α‐Quartz
Chiral acoustic phonons in α‐quartz are probed via Brillouin light scattering, exploiting the photon's helicity and the crystal's handedness. The interaction obeys a selection rule arising from pseudoangular momentum conservation, enabling direct optical access to phonon chirality in nonsymmorphic crystals.

Asymptotically Optimal Tests for Multinomial Distributions [PDF]
Tests of simple and composite hypotheses for multinomial distributions are considered. It is assumed that the size αN of a test tends to 0 as the sample size N increases. The main concern of this paper is to substantiate the following proposition: If a given test of size αN is “sufficiently different” from a likelihood ratio test then there is a ...

Multilevel Fixed and Sequential Acceptance Sampling: The R Package MFSAS
Multilevel acceptance sampling for attributes is used to decide whether a lot from an incoming shipment or outgoing production is accepted or rejected when the product has multiple levels of product quality or multiple types of (mutually exclusive ...
