The multipass rheometer a review

Journal of Non-Newtonian Fluid Mechanics, 2011
This review describes the development and application of the multipass rheometer; a servo hydraulically driven two piston device that enables rheology and precise processing measurements to be carried out within an enclosed volume. The apparatus development and then specific application areas are highlighted.

Multipass Seasonal Adjustment Filter

Management Science, 1989
A state-space seasonal time series model and a new seasonal decomposition algorithm, based on the Kalman filter, are introduced. The time series model is statistically equivalent to the multiplicative seasonal model, ARIMA (0, 1, 1)(0, 1, 1)s, of Box and Jenkins.

Short-coherence-length multipass interferometer

Optics Letters, 1995
A simple multipass interferometer is described that takes advantage of the limited coherence length of a light source in order to increase the sensitivity. The sensitivity augmentation is accomplished by insertion of a beam splitter into one leg of the interferometer, thereby achieving multiple reflections between the end mirror and the beam splitter ...

High-efficiency multipass optical limiter

Optics Letters, 2003
We report experimental results on a highly efficient optical limiter that uses a three-mirror, multipass ring configuration. The optical limiter's enhanced performance is based on the accumulative effect that is achieved when the laser beam passes through the sample several consecutive times.

Laser Multipass Collimator

Journal of Modern Optics, 1992
Abstract An instrument which is new in principle—the laser multipass collimator (LMC) is created for the problems of optically active media. The instrument makes it possible to carry out operations in aggressive media without a damage of mirrors. The LMC optical scheme has a number of advantages as compared to the classical White system.

Multipass cuvettes for spectrofluorimetry

Analytica Chimica Acta, 1989
Abstract Multiple-pass cuvettes which provides a 6-12-fold increase in the sensitivity of spectrofluorimetric measurements are described. With these cuvettes, radiation losses by reflection and polarization are greatly decreased. The cuvettes can be placed directly into most commercial spectrofluorimeters.

Coherent Change Detection for Multipass SAR

IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2018
This paper focuses on the detection, from a stack of repeated-pass interferometric synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images, of such changes causing a target to completely lose the correlation between one epoch and another. This can be the consequence of human activities, such as construction, destruction, and agricultural activities, and also be the ...

Retroreflecting multipass cell for Raman scattering

Applied Optics, 1977
A retroreflecting multipass cell consisting of two lenses and both on-axis and off-axis retroreflecting mirror assemblies has been constructed and tested. A gain in Raman scattered signal intensity of 20 has been attained in a focal volume 1.1 mm x 0.3 mm x 0.3 mm.

Two-mirror multipass absorption cell

Applied Optics, 1981
A multipass cell for absorption measurements with laser light is described. The number of passes is adjusted by variation of the distance of two parallel concave mirrors. The position and direction of the exit beam do not change when the path length is varied.

The Stability of Multipass Reactors

Nuclear Science and Engineering, 1958
The stability of a multipass reactor having series coolant flow through the passes was considered. The investigation was predicated on the assumption that the effects of the temperatare coefficient of reactivity of each pass can be superimposed. An analytical model was derived based on constant coolant flow and constant core inlet temperature.
