MMSE multiuser detection in multipath fading channels

1999 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing. Proceedings. ICASSP99 (Cat. No.99CH36258), 1999
In this work, we propose an MMSE multiuser detector for asynchronous DS/CDMA systems operating over frequency-selective fading channels. It is shown that computation of a conditional MMSE estimate of the bit to be decoded may be carried out with a computational burden linear in the processing gain N.

Performance of decorrelating receivers in multipath Rician fading channels

IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, 2005
This letter focuses on the performance analysis of the decorrelating receiver in multipath Rician faded CDMA channels. M-ary QAM scheme is employed to improve the spectral efficiency. Approximate expressions are first derived for the two performance indexes: the average symbol error rate (SER) and the average bit error rate (BER) when the decorrelating-

Identification of OFDM signals under multipath fading channels

MILCOM 2012 - 2012 IEEE Military Communications Conference, 2012
Modulation identification is an important part of wireless communications systems e.g., blind receivers can benefit from the methods that can identify the modulation of the received signals without a priori information. Moreover, distinction of OFDM systems from single carrier systems is highly important for adaptive receiver design algorithms.

Nonlinear equalization for Rician multipath fading channel

2003 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2003. Proceedings. (ICASSP '03)., 2004
We present a nonlinear equalization scheme for a Rician multipath fading channel - a fuzzy logic-based approach. We show that each channel state of a multipath Rician channel follows a Gaussian distribution, which means a Bayesian equalization can be implemented.

Blind automatic modulation classification in multipath fading channels

2017 22nd International Conference on Digital Signal Processing (DSP), 2017
Automatic Modulation Classification (AMC) has been deeply studied in the context of Cognitive Radio (CR) where it represents a required step between signal detection and demodulation. Several blind methods were proposed in the case of Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channels.
