The Multipath Propagation Problem
1997The properties and principles outlined so far in respect of cellular radio would appear to show that a roaming radiotelephone system can be set up quite specifically. Radio coverage in a cell can be well defined; co-channel interference from adjacent cells can likewise be defined; analog voice with FM operates in an assured manner; signalling over the ...

Proceedings of ISSSTA'95 International Symposium on Spread Spectrum Techniques and Applications, 2002
For precise GPS kinematic positioning one major source of error is the multipath signal propagation. Therefore, it is very important to get more information about the possible multipath signals in a complex scenario. With a simulation it is possible to predict a multipath signal propagation and the corresponding error in the code and carrier beat phase.

Influence of multipath propagation on UWB imagery
2008 IEEE International Conference on Ultra-Wideband, 2008In this paper the influence of multipath propagation on the quality of UWB imagery is analyzed. Typical UWB imaging methods like time domain migration consider only propagation paths with one reflection at the object of interest. In most scenarios the paths of higher order are attenuated sufficiently to neglect them.

Spatial matched processing for multipath propagation
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1987Underwater acoustic propagation is characterized by multipath or multimode propagation. Ray theory and mode theory are not fully adequate for modeling physical reality. Impulse responses can be more accurately calculated using Gaussian beam theory.

Multipath propagation in mobile communications
2003When a receiver is moving in a complicated, multipath environment, it is continuously receiving new contributions with changes in delay, amplitude and polarisation. The problem of exactly analysing the multipath problem is a formidable task, but is usually one without interest.

Multipath fading of on-body propagation channels
2008 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2008It was shown that multipath fading of an on-body channel can be characterized by a Rician distribution. The parameters of the Rican distribution for two on-body channels were extracted and their behavior during walking movement in an office and in an anechoic chamber was analyzed.

Wireless System with Multipath Propagation
2018In particular, for broadband applications, where the signal bandwidth is a noticeable fraction of the carrier frequency and where sophisticated modulation and detection methods have to be used, the receiver does not only require a sufficient mean power but also a reasonable approximation of the impulse response \(w_{e}(t,s)\) or delay spread function \(

Reverberation for Multipath Propagation in Urban Areas
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1973The propagation of urban noise combines the transmission phenomena of reflection, scattering, and shielding to produce sound levels that are substantially different from those that would exist in an open terrain situation. When the source is elevated, the number of important contributing paths is generally less than four or five, and the reverberation ...

Raypath parameters in tropospheric multipath propagation
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 1982An analytic approach tO the modeling of refractivity profiles, together with ray-tracing considerations, is discussed with a view to providing relevant information regarding path parameters in a multipath situation. Some points arising from rays launched from within an elevated duct are raised and discussed.

Identifying and Modelling Multipath Clusters in Propagation Measurement Data
2010 IEEE 72nd Vehicular Technology Conference - Fall, 2010In this paper, a new algorithm that is able to identify and track multipath clusters in the delay-angular domain is introduced. The introduced algorithm avoids calculations of a single distance measure from quantities with different nature; instead it performs the clustering via extracting multiple 1D waveforms from the 2D delay-angular domain.
