Multiphasic Health Testing

JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1977
MULTIPHASIC health testing was called to the attention of American medicine in 1972 by the Department of Community Health of the American Medical Association. It consists of collecting specimens from humans and reporting test results—an incomplete health service.

Multiphase LC oscillators

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I: Regular Papers, 2006
This paper proposes an extensive analysis of multiphase LC oscillators. N oscillators coupled in a ring topology can generate multiphase outputs. For their nature, these oscillators operate off-resonance and consequently their phase noise worsens at increasing coupling strength.

Ultrahigh Performance in Lead-free Piezoceramics Utilizing a Relaxor Slush Polar State with Multiphase Coexistence.

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2019
Owing to growing environmental concerns, the development of lead-free piezoelectrics with comparable performance to the benchmark Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 (PZT) becomes of great urgency.

High‐Entropy and Multiphase Cathode Materials for Sodium‐Ion Batteries

Advanced Energy Materials
Cycling stability is the biggest challenge for cathodes of sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs), which is directly affected by the structure design. Herein, the combination of high‐entropy (HE) and multiphase structure is demonstrated to be helpful for ...

Impact of rotor–stator axial spacing on the gas–liquid–solid flow characteristics of a multiphase rotodynamic pump based on the Euler multi-fluid model

The Physics of Fluids
Multiphase rotodynamic pumps are used by the oil and gas industry to transport mixed media in pipelines. The characteristics of gas–liquid–solid flow in such pumps are significantly affected by the rotor–stator axial spacing so that further investigation

Automated Multiphasic Screening

Pediatrics, 1974
From our experience with automated multiphasic health tests in more that 20,000 children, we have formed the following tentative conclusions. Multiphasic testing, combining a group of tests for administration at a single session, is less costly in time and inconvenience to the patient and provides more useful information to the evaluating and treating ...

Multiphase protein microgels.

Macromolecular bioscience, 2015
Peptides and proteins represent attractive building blocks for the development of new functional materials due to the biocompatibility and biodegradability of many naturally abundant proteins. In nature, sophisticated material functionality is commonly achieved through spatial control of protein localisation and structure on both the nano and micro ...

The Evolution of Model Predictive Control in Multiphase Electric Drives: A Growing Field of Research

IEEE Industrial Electronics Magazine, 2022
Multiphase electric machines (i.e., those with more than three phases) have completely remained in the shadow of their three-phase counterparts for a long time.

Multiphase buffer theory explains contrasts in atmospheric aerosol acidity

Science, 2020
Water content and mass matter more than composition for the acidity of atmospheric aerosols in ammonia-buffered regions. A multiphasic effect Aerosols exert a primary influence on atmospheric chemistry.
