Acoustic Analogy for Multiphase or Multicomponent Flow [PDF]
The Ffowcs Williams and Hawkings (FW-H) equation is widely used to predict sound generated from flow and its interaction with impermeable or permeable surfaces. Owing to the Heaviside function used, this equation assumes that sound only propagates outside the surface.

Transient multiphase multicomponent flow in porous media. [PDF]
Abstract A one-dimensional transient two-phase, two-component flow in a porous medium is investigated analytically. The flow is described by the use of a continuity equation for each component, a momentum equation for each phase, the first law of thermodynamics, state equations, and relations for the transport properties.

Multicomponent, multiphase flow in porous media with temperature variation [PDF]
Recovery of hydrocarbons from porous media is an ongoing concern. Advanced techniques augment conventional recovery methods by injecting fluids that favorably interact with the oil. These fluids interact with the oil by energy transfer, in the case of steam injection, or by mass transfer, as in a miscible gas flood. Often both thermal and compositional

Multiphase, Multicomponent Fluid Flow in Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Porous Media [PDF]
The flow of several components and several phases through a porous medium is generally described by introducing macroscopic mass-balance equations under the form of generalized dispersion equations. This model raises several questions that are discussed in this paper on the basis of results obtained from the volume averaging method, coupled with pore ...
