Field Experience With Multiphase Boosting Systems At Campos Basin, Brazil
Offshore Technology Conference, 2005Abstract In the early 90's and upon the foreseen challenges for producing offshore fields, particularly in deep and ultra-deep waters, PETROBRAS structured a corporate R&D program devoted to the development of a set of technologies found crucial for the success in such scenario - the PROCAP 2000.

Abstract Modal analyses of 209 sandstone samples from the Permian–Triassic succession of the northern Bowen Basin, eastern Australia, identify two stratigraphically and compositionally distinct petrofacies. The Lower to Mid Upper Permian Back Creek Group is characterised by Petrofacies A which is quartz-rich (Q82F8L10).

The Rio Peruaçu Basin: An Impressive Multiphased Karst System
2015The Rio Peruacu basin is located on the left bank of the Rio Sao Francisco, in the north of the state of Minas Gerais. While its upper portion collects the waters flowing from the sandstone formations of the Urucuia, its lower part cuts into the Bambui limestones, carving out a narrow canyon about 200 m deep for which the site is known.

Production Optimization in the Midland Basin Through Lateral Multiphase Flow Simulation
SPE Liquids-Rich Basins Conference - North America, 2017Abstract Operators in the Permian Basin continue to advance their knowledge on unconventional horizontal wellbore constructions for optimal production. However, it is often assumed that drilling and completing the longest possible laterals is the obvious solution. Motivations to drill and complete the longest possible laterals could come

The McArthur Basin is a regionally extensive multiphase Proterozoic basin system in northern Australia. Existing lithostratigraphic elements are amalgamated into five coherent basin phases or ‘packages’, to provide a basin‐wide informal and non‐genetic stratigraphic framework on which future genetic models may be based.

A control-volume finite-element method for three-dimensional multiphase basin modeling
Marine and Petroleum Geology, 2009Abstract In this paper we describe a 3D control-volume finite-element method to solve numerically the coupled partial differential equations (PDEs) governing geological processes involved in the evolution of sedimentary basins. These processes include sediment deposition and deformation, hydrocarbon generation, multiphase fluid flow, and heat ...

The Congo Basin of central Africa is a large iconic Phanerozoic sedimentary basin whose origin and tectonic evolution are poorly understood, mostly because of a lack of modern stratigraphic data, reflecting a long hiatus in field investigations during the past five decades.

Multiphase timing of hominin occupations and the paleoenvironment in Luonan Basin, Central China
Quaternary Research, 2011AbstractThousands of Paleolithic artifacts have been recovered from Paleolithic sites in the Luonan Basin, in the upper South Luohe River of central China. Their discovery suggests that the basin was an important area for hominin settlement during the Pleistocene.
