Field Experience With Multiphase Boosting Systems At Campos Basin, Brazil

Offshore Technology Conference, 2005
Abstract In the early 90's and upon the foreseen challenges for producing offshore fields, particularly in deep and ultra-deep waters, PETROBRAS structured a corporate R&D program devoted to the development of a set of technologies found crucial for the success in such scenario - the PROCAP 2000.

Sandstone petrofacies expressions of multiphase basinal tectonics and arc magmatism: Permian–Triassic north Bowen Basin, Australia

Sedimentary Geology, 2000
Abstract Modal analyses of 209 sandstone samples from the Permian–Triassic succession of the northern Bowen Basin, eastern Australia, identify two stratigraphically and compositionally distinct petrofacies. The Lower to Mid Upper Permian Back Creek Group is characterised by Petrofacies A which is quartz-rich (Q82F8L10).

The Rio Peruaçu Basin: An Impressive Multiphased Karst System

2015
The Rio Peruacu basin is located on the left bank of the Rio Sao Francisco, in the north of the state of Minas Gerais. While its upper portion collects the waters flowing from the sandstone formations of the Urucuia, its lower part cuts into the Bambui limestones, carving out a narrow canyon about 200 m deep for which the site is known.

Arsenic distribution and speciation in multiphase media of a lake basin, Tibet: The influences of environmental factors on arsenic biogeochemical behavior in the cold arid plateau lake.

Science of the Total Environment, 2020
Widespread arsenic (As) has been found in surface media on the Tibetan Plateau, but few studies of As species have been performed because of the difficult sampling conditions.

Production Optimization in the Midland Basin Through Lateral Multiphase Flow Simulation

SPE Liquids-Rich Basins Conference - North America, 2017
Abstract Operators in the Permian Basin continue to advance their knowledge on unconventional horizontal wellbore constructions for optimal production. However, it is often assumed that drilling and completing the longest possible laterals is the obvious solution. Motivations to drill and complete the longest possible laterals could come

Chronologically Constraining Multiphase Secondary Oil Migration Pathways Using Integrated Geochemistry, Fluid Inclusions and In Situ U–Pb Dating of Calcite: Insights From the Tarim Basin, NW China

Basin Research
Understanding the pathways and timing of multiphase oil migration is critical for accurate hydrocarbon exploration, particularly in tectonically complex and deeply buried sedimentary basins.

Multiphase Hydrocarbons from Carboniferous Reservoir Rocks and Their Origin in the Donghetang Area, Western Tabei Uplift, Tarim Basin, NW China

Russian Geology and Geophysics, 2019
—The Carboniferous Donghe sandstone reservoir is the most important target in the Tabei Uplift of the Tarim Basin, which contains a range of hydrocarbon types, including bitumen, heavy oil, condensate oil, light oil, crude oil, and hydrocarbon gas, and

Reconstructing Basin Architecture of the Mesozoic Multiphase Back-Arc and Retroarc Foreland Basin System in Colombia

The present-day Middle Magdalena Valley, Eastern Cordillera, and Llanos Basin were once part of a large, multiphase basin system that began as an extensional basin during the Late Triassic–Early Jurassic and evolved into a retroarc foreland basin by the Late Cretaceous.

Multiphase deformation of a multilayered salt giant: Salt tectonics in the Levant Basin

Geological Society of America Bulletin
Abstract The Mediterranean salt giant deposited during the Messinian salinity crisis (5.97–5.33 Ma) is the youngest known example of its kind on Earth. Unlike older layered evaporite sequences, which typically become gravitationally unstable and pierce through overlying formations, the Mediterranean salt remains relatively undeformed ...
