One class of multiphase elastomers are those capable of undergoing strain-induced crystallization, as was discussed separately in chapter 12. In this case, the second phase is made up of the crystallites thus generated, which provide considerable reinforcement.

Multiphase Microemulsion Systems
Society of Petroleum Engineers Journal, 1976Abstract Economical microemulsion flooding inevitably involves microemulsion phases immiscible with oil or water, or both; oil recovery is largely affected by displacement efficiency during the immiscible regime.

GENERIC model for multiphase systems
Advances in Colloid and Interface Science, 2010GENERIC is a nonequilibrium thermodynamic formalism in which the dynamic behavior of a system is described by a single compact equation involving two types of brackets: a Poisson bracket and a dissipative bracket. This formalism has proved to be a very powerful instrument to model the dynamic behavior of complex bulk phases. In this paper we review the

Abstract Erosion behavior was analyzed for the case where the erosion impact events are small relative to the microstructural scale in multiphase systems. A mechanism-independent inverse rule of mixtures averaging law was derived for this situation. The linear rule of mixtures does not apply in this case.

Wetting in Multiphase Systems with Complex Geometries
Interface Science, 2001We address the shape and distribution of two-phase systems embedded within a third phase. To motivate this work, we begin by describing transmission electron microscopy observations of the configurations adopted by the solid and vapor phases of lead when these are confined together within a silicon cavity. We then perform analytical calculations of the
