Investigation of MIMO Channel Characteristics in a Two-Section Tunnel at 1.4725 GHz
This paper presents results from a wide band single-input–single-output (SISO) and 16 × 16 virtual multiple-input–multiple-output (MIMO) measurement campaign at a center frequency of 1.4725 GHz in a 100-meter long tunnel laboratory which is terminated by

MIMO Underwater Acoustic Communications in Ports and Shallow Waters at Very High Frequency
Hermes is a Single-Input Single-Output (SISO) underwater acoustic modem that achieves very high-bit rate digital communications in ports and shallow waters. Here, the authors study the capability of Hermes to support Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output (MIMO)

Sparse Grassmannian Design for Noncoherent Codes via Schubert Cell Decomposition
In this paper, we propose a method for designing sparse Grassmannian codes for noncoherent multiple-input multiple-output systems. Conventional pairwise error probability formulations under uncorrelated Rayleigh fading channels fail to account for rank ...

Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) Optical Wireless Communications
People’s ideas about communications have changed completely, nowadays when this subject is mentioned almost everyone thinks of wireless communications. The demand for broadband wireless communications offering greater and greater data rates is endless, and the radio-technology community is trying harder and harder to satisfy this demand.

Uniform Quantization for Multi-Antenna Amplify–Quantize–Forward Relay
In this paper, we investigate a multi-antenna amplify-quantize–forward (AQF) relay system, where a half-duplex relay quantizes both the real and imaginary components of amplified received signals, storing them in memory before forwarding them to a

Othogonal Waveform Design for Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) Radar
An effective numerical approach is developed for orthogonal waveform design for Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) radar. The Doppler shift tolerance is considered in the design cost function. The design results indicate that the Doppler tolerance of the designed orthogonal waveforms is markedly improved.
