A review on massive Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) system’s combiners

2021
Massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology for wireless communication is considered a key technology for the future fifth-generation (5G) communication networks. To reduce the propagation loss of channel, MIMO systems with analog or digital hybrid precoders and ...

A theory of multiple-input/multiple-output (MIMO) system for mobile radio communications

12th IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications. PIMRC 2001. Proceedings (Cat. No.01TH8598), 2002
Using n-element arrays for transmission and reception in a radio communication link is one of the recent focuses in wireless communication research. Most of the studies are based on the assumption that the transmitter is in complete ignorance of the channel information.

Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) Antenna Systems

2004
Since the late 1990’s MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) antenna systems are the subject of the enormous interest among engineers and researchers. The reason is that the theoretical capacity offered by these systems significantly exceeds the Shannon bound.

Multiple input multiple output (MIMO) radio channel models

Third International Conference on 3G Mobile Communication Technologies, 2002
In this paper we present a geometrically based stochastic model implementation of a MIMO radio channel model. This is based on a 3D two bounce model. The model is designed to be dependent on parameters associated with the deployment scenario rather than being based on any stochastic radio channel information.

VLC for vehicular communications: A multiple input multiple output (MIMO) approach

2018 International Conference on Development and Application Systems (DAS), 2018
Visible Light Communication (VLC) it's a cheap communication system which uses electromagnetic frequencies from the visible spectrum to fulfil optical communications. It's an active research topic, being used in many research laboratories because of its potential of development. The main contribution of this paper is the development of an adaptive MIMO

Dielectric Resonator-Based Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) Antennas

2020
This chapter discusses dielectric resonator antenna (DRA)-based multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna systems for various wireless applications with several antenna examples. A DRA supports several unique features, which makes it different from other radiating structures. The antenna acts as a backbone of a wireless communication system.
