Use of cumulative sums for detection of changepoints in the rate parameter of a poisson process [PDF]
This paper studies the problem of multiple changepoints in rate parameter of a Poisson process. We propose a binary segmentation algorithm in conjunction with a cumulative sums statistic for detection of changepoints such that in each step we need only ...

Estimating classification error under edit restrictions in combined survey-register data using Multiple Imputation Latent Class modelling (MILC) [PDF]
Both registers and surveys can contain classication errors. These errors can be estimated by making use of information that is obtained when making use of a combined dataset.

Conditioning of multiple-point statistics simulations to indirect geophysical data
Multiple-point statistical (MPS) simulation methods have gained widespread adoption across various Earth science disciplines. They offer a versatile framework for simulating intricate spatial patterns and heterogeneity in both surface and subsurface structures.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Multiple-point statistical prediction on fracture networks at Yucca Mountain [PDF]
In many underground nuclear waste repository systems, such as Yucca Mountain project, water flow rate and amount of water seepage into the waste emplacement drifts are mainly determined by hydrological properties of fracture network in the surrounding rock mass.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Implications of heterogeneity on transport simulations at large scale: the Morroa aquifer case
The Morroa aquifer located in Sucre state (northern Colombia) represents the exclusive source of water supply for nearly 500.000 people, including the capital of the state Sincelejo.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.
