Controlled Power Cooperative Non Orthogonal Multiple Access Relay Networks

open access: yes
Recent work related to cooperative communication and power allocation has attracted much attention among researchers. This paper compares orthogonal multiple access (OMA), non orthogonal multiple access (NOMA), and cooperative NOMA.

Cooperative non-orthogonal multiple access with physical layer network coding [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Physical layer network coding (PNC) has been proposed for information exchange between a pair of users assisted by a relay. However, the spectral efficiency of PNC reduces when the number of user pairs increases due to the requirement of orthogonal ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Multiuser Detection Assisted Time- and Frequency-Domain Spread Multicarrier Code-Division Multiple-Access

open access: yes, 2006
In this contribution, we study a reduced-complexity multiuser detection aided multicarrier direct-sequence code-division multiple-access (MC DS-CDMA) scheme, which employs both time (T)-domain and frequency (F)-domain spreading.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Deep Reinforcement Learning for Uplink Scheduling in NOMA-URLLC Networks

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Machine Learning in Communications and Networking
This article addresses the problem of Ultra Reliable Low Latency Communications (URLLC) in wireless networks, a framework with particularly stringent constraints imposed by many Internet of Things (IoT) applications from diverse sectors.
