Multiple access computational offloading

2016 IEEE 17th International Workshop on Signal Processing Advances in Wireless Communications (SPAWC), 2016
Mobile cloud computing provides shared computational resources to which mobile devices can offload computational tasks in order to reduce energy consumption or reduce the latency of the task execution. The decision of whether or not to offload a task can be formulated as a joint optimization problem over the available computational and radio resources.

On the capacity of multiplicative multiple access channels with AWGN

2011 IEEE Information Theory Workshop, 2011
We consider a multiplicative multiple access channel in the presence of additive white Gaussian noise. Under individual average power constraints at each of the transmitters, we characterize the capacity region of this channel. The structure of the region reveals some fundamental characteristics related to timesharing, power constraints and the ...

Power division multiple access

ICUPC '98. IEEE 1998 International Conference on Universal Personal Communications. Conference Proceedings (Cat. No.98TH8384), 2002
This paper presents and analyzes a new multiple access scheme, which is power diversity based, for an asynchronous environment. The key idea is to have different received power for each user in order to permit successive reception based on cochannel interference cancellation.

Scrambled Coded Multiple Access

2011 IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC Fall), 2011
The advantages of Interleave Division Multiple Access (IDMA) are taken one step further by Scrambled Coded Multiple Access (SCMA) where user specific, long interleave tables are replaced by a common scrambling sequence that can be used for all users with a simple shift.

On multiple access channels with feedback

IEEE Trans. Inf. Theory, 1984
Summary: For the binary erasure multiple access channel, \textit{E. C. van der Meulen} [ibid. IT-23, 1-37 (1977; Zbl 0355.94035)] showed in his survey paper that the symmetrical rate pair (0.79113, 0.79113) is achievable in the case of feedback. Here we prove that this rate point is on the boundary of the feedback capacity region. Subsequently we apply

Decoding for multiple-access channels

2005
We discuss some results in coding and decoding for multiple-access channels. A new approach to choosing codes and users' energies for that channel is described. For the case when a bit error probability and a decoding complexity are fixed we construct a region of achievable code rates.
