Interference multiple access communications

SPIE Proceedings, 2007
The implementation of network centric warfare on the battlefield has driven the growing demand for high capacity warfighter communication systems. Although new high capacity SATCOM systems such as WGS are being introduced in the near term, these systems use the interference avoidance paradigm, which fundamentally limits overall network performance ...

Multiple Sequence Multicarrier CDMA for Interference-free Multiple Access

2006 Wireless Telecommunications Symposium, 2006
This paper shows a general structure for multicarrier (MC) CDMA that avoids multiuser interference even over fading channels. The technique converts a multi-access interference (MAI) channel into an inter symbol interference (ISI) channel for every user.

New opportunistic interference alignment in MIMO interference multiple access channels

2016 8th International Conference on Wireless Communications & Signal Processing (WCSP), 2016
In this paper, we investigate the K-cell multiple input multiple output (MIMO) interference multiple-access channel (IMAC) where opportunistic user scheduling and interference alignment (IA) are combined. For traditional opportunistic IA (OIA) scheme, without consideration on enhancing the effectiveness of the desired signal, each user calculates its ...

Cancelling known interference in multiple access channels

2008 IEEE 25th Convention of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in Israel, 2008
We study two generalizations of the writing on dirty paper problem. The first scenario is the cross interference multiple access channel, where each user knows the interference that accompanies the transmission of the other user. In the second scenario we consider a two-user multiple access chancel with a common interference known to both transmitters.

Multiple access interference as spatially colored noise

Proceedings IEEE 56th Vehicular Technology Conference, 2003
A model is introduced for WCDMA systems using antenna arrays that extends the white noise description of uniformly distributed interferers to a colored noise description of clustered interferers. A derivation of the model in a spatiotemporally correlated channel is presented.

FMCW Radar Network: Multiple Access and Interference Mitigation

IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Signal Processing, 2021
With the increasing proliferation of radars on vehicles, interference among vehicular radars is becoming a serious issue. In this work, we consider a frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar network with coherent radar interference where all radars adopt the same chirp slopes.

Multiple Access Interference Suppression for TWSTFT Applications

IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2017
Multiple access interference (MAI) is one of the unstable sources of the two-way satellite time and frequency transfer (TWSTFT), and causes an estimation error of the signal arrival time. To suppress MAI, the successive interference cancellation (SIC) procedure is implemented on the software-defined receiver.

Suppression of Multiple Access Interference (MAI) in Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA)

2007 IFIP International Conference on Wireless and Optical Communications Networks, 2007
Recent advances in communications are driven by the requirements of next-generation wireless systems to provide high-data-rate and high quality services anywhere at anytime. However, the spectrum continues to be scarce and expensive, which creates new challenges in the developments of telecommunications systems.

Multiple Channel Interference Cancellation of Digital Filter Multiple Access PONs

Journal of Lightwave Technology, 2017
By making use of the digital signal processing (DSP) based software-reconfigurable digital orthogonal filtering, digital filter multiple access passive optical networks (DFMA PONs) have demonstrated great potential for offering excellent backward compatibility with existing PONs and supporting future cloud access networks. However, intensity modulation

Multiple access on narrowband interference channels

IEEE GLOBECOM 1998 (Cat. NO. 98CH36250), 2002
We investigate the influence of narrowband interference on different multiple access techniques including classic frequency-division multiple access (FDMA), time-division multiple access (TDMA), code-division multiple access (CDMA), and orthogonal FDMA (OFDMA).
