Characteristics of multiple-shock defibrillation

Resuscitation, 1995
Multiple‐Shock Defibrillation. Introduction: A new method for defibrillation allows two shocks to be combined to defibrillate with reduced current by adjusting their separation according to the cycle length of the fibrillation event. We investigated various aspects of this new method to better understand its characteristics and applicability to ...

Candidates for Multiple Frequency Response Characteristics

Ear and Hearing, 1995
This study examined what types of subjects may benefit from the use of multiple memory hearing aids that offer variation in their frequency response characteristics. Thirty subjects with varied degrees and configurations of hearing loss compared an individually prescribed frequency response (NAL) and two variations in which the real-ear response slope ...

Polarization characteristics of multiple-input multiple-output channels

2008 IEEE 19th International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, 2008
In this paper, we investigate the polarization characteristics of the multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channels. The cross polarization discrimination (XPD) is found to change over time, while its variation in frequency domain is relatively small. The probability density function (PDF) of the XPD follows a Gaussian distribution.

Clinical characteristics of cortical multiple sclerosis

Journal of the Neurological Sciences, 2006

However behavioural and cognitive presentation of multiple sclerosis remains poorly understood.

Progressive Multiple Sclerosis: Characteristics and Management

Neurologic Clinics, 2011
Progressive multiple sclerosis (MS) consists of 3 phenotypic subtypes: secondary progressive MS, primary progressive MS, and progressive relapsing MS. There has been a paucity of approved treatments for these subtypes possibly driven by irreversible neurodegeneration within the central nervous system and not amenable to drugs that target inflammation ...
