Learning Highly Dynamic Skills Transition for Quadruped Jumping Through Constrained Space

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A quadruped robot masters dynamic jumps through constrained spaces with animal‐inspired moves and intelligent vision control. This hierarchical learning approach combines imitation of biological agility with real‐time trajectory planning. Although legged animals are capable of performing explosive motions while traversing confined spaces, replicating ...

Multiple-instance discriminant analysis

Pattern Recognition, 2014
Multiple-instance discriminant analysis (MIDA) is proposed to cope with the feature extraction problem in multiple-instance learning. Similar to MidLABS, MIDA is also derived from linear discriminant analysis (LDA), and both algorithms can be treated as multiple-instance extensions of LDA. Different from MidLABS which learns from the bag level, MIDA is

Stimulus control in multiple temporal discriminations

Learning & Behavior, 2012
In multiple fixed interval (FI) schedules, rats are trained to discriminate different FIs that are signaled by different stimuli. After extensive training, the different stimuli often acquire control over performance, observed by an earlier increase in responding for stimuli that signal shorter FIs, as compared with stimuli that signal longer FIs.

MULTIPLE RESPONSE EVALUATION OF DISCRIMINATION

British Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Psychology, 1965
A common form of discrimination test consists of n incorrect alternatives and a single correct alternative. Usually, the subject is permitted only one attempt to select the correct alternative. This is adequate if discrimination is all‐or‐none, but is not adequate in general.
