Statistical Complexity of Quantum Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, EarlyView.
The statistical performance of quantum learning is investigated as a function of the number of training data N$N$, and of the number of copies available for each quantum state in the training and testing data sets, respectively S$S$ and V$V$. Indeed, the biggest difference in quantum learning comes from the destructive nature of quantum measurements ...

Multiple orthogonal polynomials, 𝑑-orthogonal polynomials, production matrices, and branched continued fractions

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, Series B
I analyze an unexpected connection between multiple orthogonal polynomials, d d -orthogonal polynomials, production matrices and branched continued fractions. This work can be viewed as a partial extension of Viennot’s combinatorial theory of orthogonal polynomials to the case where the production matrix is lower-Hessenberg but is not ...

Location‐Assisted Graph‐Based User Scheduling in Multi‐User MIMO LEO NTN Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Satellite Communications and Networking, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper addresses user clustering and scheduling for multi‐user MIMO low Earth orbit nonterrestrial network systems in full frequency reuse. Since the number of on‐ground user terminals is usually much higher than the number of on‐board LEO satellite antennas, user scheduling becomes a fundamental task.

Large Depth-of-Field, Large Eyebox, and Wide Field-of-View Freeform-Holographic Augmented Reality Near-Eye Display. [PDF]

open access: yesAdv Sci (Weinh)
This study proposes an augmented reality (AR) near‐eye display system that simultaneously achieves a large depth‐of‐field (DOF) from 0.25 to 10 m, a wide 50° field‐of‐view (FOV), and a 10 mm × 10 mm viewing eyebox, while maintaining high display performance, good optical see‐through viewing capability, and a compact system form factor.

Enhancing SHM with the extension of the deformation area difference method into the strain area difference method

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract This study contributes to the fields of nondestructive testing (NDT) and structural health monitoring (SHM), which are pivotal for extending the service life of infrastructure and aligning with sustainability goals in construction. The study emphasizes an advanced application of the deformation area difference (DAD) Method, focusing on the ...
