This study explores how information processing is distributed between brains and bodies through a codesign approach. Using the “backpropagation through soft body” framework, brain–body coupling agents are developed and analyzed across several tasks in which output is generated through the agents’ physical dynamics.

High-Performance Krawtchouk Polynomials of High Order Based on Multithreading
Orthogonal polynomials and their moments serve as pivotal elements across various fields. Discrete Krawtchouk polynomials (DKraPs) are considered a versatile family of orthogonal polynomials and are widely used in different fields such as probability ...

Optimization of an Ammonia Synthesis Reactor using Simultaneous Approach
Ammonia is a valuable chemical produced in the industry and is wide used in the manufacture of fertilizers, plastics and pharmaceuticals. On the other hand, some important tools in chemical processes are modelling, simulation and optimization, and these ...

Riemann-Hilbert Problems for Multiple Orthogonal Polynomials [PDF]
In the early nineties, Fokas, Its and Kitaev observed that there is a natural Riemann-Hilbert problem (for 2 x×2 matrix functions) associated with a system of orthogonal polynomials. This Riemann-Hilbert problem was later used by Deift et al. and Bleher and Its to obtain interesting results on orthogonal polynomials, in particular strong asymptotics ...

Convergent and Divergent Connectivity Patterns of the Arcuate Fasciculus in Macaques and Humans
This study employs viral‐based single‐neuron tracing and dMRI‐based whole‐brain tractography to investigate arcuate fasciculus (AF) trajectories in macaque monkeys, and compares with the human AF connectome using spectral embedding. Results demonstrate conserved AF topography spanning temporoparietal‐auditory‐frontal pathways across primates, with ...

Multiple orthogonal polynomials for classical weights [PDF]
A new set of special functions, which has a wide range of applications from number theory to integrability of nonlinear dynamical systems, is described. The multiple orthogonal polynomials with respect to \(p>1\) weights satisfying Pearson's equation. In particular, a classification of multiple orthogonal polynomials with respect to classical weights ...

Rib‐Reinforced Ultralight and Ultra‐Strong Shell Lattices
This study thoroughly reveals the relation between the curvature and stress direction of triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) thin shell lattices and proposes a novel rib reinforcement design strategy to incorporate ribs along the line of asymptotes (LOA) and the line of principal curvatures (LOC) to enhance the strength of ultralight TPMS shell ...

INTEGRAL REPRESENTATIONS FOR THE JACOBI–PINEIRO POLYNOMIALS AND THE FUNCTIONS OF THE SECOND KIND
We consider the Hermite – Pad´e approximants for the Cauchy transforms of the Jacobi weights in one interval. The denominators of the approximants are known as Jacobi – Pi˜neiro polynomials.

On Certain Wronskians of Multiple Orthogonal Polynomials
We consider determinants of Wronskian type whose entries are multiple orthogonal polynomials associated with a path connecting two multi-indices. By assuming that the weight functions form an algebraic Chebyshev (AT) system, we show that the polynomials represented by the Wronskians keep a constant sign in some cases, while in some other cases ...

Multiple orthogonal polynomials: Pearson equations and Christoffel formulas
AbstractMultiple orthogonal polynomials with respect to two weights on the step-line are considered. A connection between different dual spectral matrices, one banded (recursion matrix) and one Hessenberg, respectively, and the Gauss–Borel factorization of the moment matrix is given. It is shown a hidden freedom exhibited by the spectral system related
