Translational Barriers and AI‐Driven Challenges of Microfluidics‐Enabled Wearables and Implantable Systems in Personalized Medicine

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An integrative review of microfluidics‐enabled wearables and implantable systems reveals a single‐track translation pipeline, bridging functional biomaterials with clinical utility. Dynamic feedback loops driven by artificial intelligence advance diagnostics toward personalized closed‐loop theranostics.

Patients with Borderline Personality Disorder Not Participating in an RCT: Are They Different? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Background: Despite the notion that randomized controlled trials are regarded as the gold standard in psychotherapy research, questions about their generalizability have been raised. This paper focuses on the differences between participants and eligible

Origin of Enhanced Efficiency and Reduced Roll‐Off in Organic Light‐Emitting Diodes Based on Pt(II) Complexes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Controlled Pt–Pt fine structure in square‐planar Pt(II) complexes governs metal–metal‐to‐ligand charge‐transfer (MMLCT) state formation, exciton dynamics, and organic light‐emitting diode performance. Short Pt–Pt contacts in Pt(fppz)2 enable coherent metal–metal coupling, sub‐microsecond emission and an external quantum efficiency of 29%, whereas ...

Atmospheric Water Harvesting Through Polymer Hydrogel Sorbents: Materials Chemistry, Design Strategies, and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Polymer‐based hydrogels have emerged as promising materials for atmospheric water harvesting (AWH) due to their high water affinity, tunable network structure, and excellent moisture adsorption‐desorption performance. Functional hydrogel systems enable efficient water capture and controlled release under low‐energy conditions, offering a sustainable ...

Predicting Single‐Cell Perturbation Responses Across Biological Contexts With a Deep Generative Model Integrating Optimal Transport

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐cell perturbation responses are predicted across held‐out biological contexts using scPILOT, a query‐conditioned two‐stage latent response‐transfer framework. A shared latent representation supports cell‐level response estimation by latent optimal transport, followed by Leiden‐localized query‐specific transfer and adaptive weighting.

Near‐Infrared Fluorescent PROTAC Enables Theranostic Imaging and Selective Tau Degradation in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Here, we report a novel NIR fluorescent PROTAC platform that enables real‐time imaging and targeted degradation of Alzheimer's p‐Tau. Our lead compound effectively clears p‐Tau, reduces APP/Aβ, and alleviates cognitive deficits in AD mice. This work demonstrates a theranostic strategy for visualizing degradation and developing next‐generation AD ...

Dissociative symptoms and the quality of structural integration in borderline personality disorder [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Background Transient dissociation is a core feature of borderline personality disorder (BPD). Dissociation is characterized by detachment from reality, which can be mild (e.g. daydreaming) to severe (e.g. depersonalization, amnesia).
