Exact and efficient Bayesian inference for multiple changepoint problems. [PDF]
We demonstrate how to perform direct simulation from the posterior distribution of a class of multiple changepoint models where the number of changepoints is unknown.

Both cg12821679MAPRE3 methylation and MAPRE3 expression are significantly associated with overall survival (OS) of non‐small cell lung cancer. Meanwhile, MAPRE3 expression significantly modified the effect of smoking cessation on OS. Smoking cessation benefits OS merely for patients with high MAPRE3 expression.

Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Use of well testing and multiple point statistics in analyzing deep water channel turbidite reservoirs [PDF]
textWell testing has long been used to determine the dynamic characteristics of a reservoir. However due to the increase in interest in exploring deep offshore reservoirs and the expense associated with performing well tests of sufficient duration ...

A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

bcp: An R Package for Performing a Bayesian Analysis of Change Point Problems
Barry and Hartigan (1993) propose a Bayesian analysis for change point problems. We provide a brief summary of selected work on change point problems, both preceding and following Barry and Hartigan.

Interior Point Methods for Massive Support Vector Machines
We investigate the use of interior point methods for solving quadratic programming problems with a small number of linear constraints where the quadratic term consists of a low-rank update to a positive semi-de nite matrix. Several formulations of the

Exploring the RCNN Technique in a Multiple-Point Statistics Framework
This work explores the Recursive Convolutional Neural Network (RCNN) technique in terms of describing (1) the inner architecture, (2) the training process and (3) the simulation algorithm in a multiple-point statistics simulation framework. To acquire a more intuitive understanding of the previous description, visualizations of hidden layers ...
