Rank-Dependent Utility Under Multiple Priors

Management Science, 2022
Nonlinear perception of risk is integrated into models of decision under ambiguity, thereby providing a theoretical basis for behavioral analyses that involve both risk and ambiguity. The main model replaces the risk front of maxmin expected utility by rank-dependent utility, and it is derived from simple, observable axioms that are not restricted to ...

On Equilibria when Agents Have Multiple Priors

Annals of Operations Research, 2002
Within the scope of a two period \(n\) agents pure exchange economy the author discusses the existence of equilibria (and some properties of them), based on assumptions concerning properties of the agents and their sets of priors. Main results concern the cases when the agents have a common prior or not.

Motion priors for multiple target visual tracking

Machine Vision and Applications, 2015
This article describes an original strategy for enhancing current state-of-the-art trackers through the use of motion priors, built as data-driven probabilistic motion models for moving targets. Our priors have a simple form and can replace advantageously more traditional models, such as the constant velocity or constant acceleration models, that are ...

Generalized Multiple Kernel Learning With Data-Dependent Priors

IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, 2015
Multiple kernel learning (MKL) and classifier ensemble are two mainstream methods for solving learning problems in which some sets of features/views are more informative than others, or the features/views within a given set are inconsistent. In this paper, we first present a novel probabilistic interpretation of MKL such that maximum entropy ...

Probabilistically Sophisticated Multiple Priors. [PDF]

open access: possible, 2005
We characterize the intersection of the probabilistically sophisticated and multiple prior models. We show this class is strictly larger than the subjective expected utility model and that its elements can be generated from a generalized class of the -contaminated priors, which we dub the - contaminated/ -truncated prior.

Remounting multiple casting prior to final cementation

The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1981
Abstract A technique has been presented for mounting and refining multiple restorations (castings) to a high degree of accuracy. This technique offers a solution to many problems encountered when making final occlusal adjustments in the mouth. The exact technical adjustment procedure to be followed after remounting will be described in a following ...

Agreeing to Disagree with Multiple Priors [PDF]

open access: possible, 2010
We present an extension of Aumann's Agreement Theorem to the case of multiple priors. If agents update all their priors, then, for the Agreement Theorem to hold, it is sufficient to assume that they have closed, connected and intersecting sets of priors.

Image regularization with multiple morphological gradient priors

2016 IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP), 2016
In this paper, we propose an image prior based on morphological gradients for image recovery. The morphological gradient is defined as the difference between dilation and erosion of an image and approximates the image gradient. This prior provides regularization with an 𝐿1-𝐿∞ norm.
