Abstract In terms of the T operator. Indeed both ways are used in the literature to describe the concept of multiple scattering. Here only the Lippmann-Schwinger equation for the T operator will be considered.

Multiple Scattering in Cumulus Clouds
2014The paper presents an improved algorithm for realistic imaging of cumulus clouds. The technique is based on the lattice-Boltzmann method and takes into account multiple scattering of light in the participating medium of high albedo. Relevant estimation of a phase function for such environment is proposed.

Molière's Theory of Multiple Scattering
Physical Review, 1953Mole\`ere's theory of multiple scattering of electrons and other charged particles is here derived in a mathematically simpler way. The differential scattering law enters the theory only through a single parameter, the screening angle ${{\ensuremath{\chi}}_{a}}^{\ensuremath{'}}$, Eq. (21).

Multiple Scattering in One Dimension
Journal of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, 1964A study is made of the multiple scattering in one dimension of monochromatic waves by n identical, nondissipative, point scatterers arrayed over an interval of finite length. In the language of transmission line theory, the scatterers are small lumped impedances arranged in series along the line.

Multiple Scattering in an Infinite Medium
Physical Review, 1950The integro-differential diffusion equation of the multiple scattering problem in an infinite, homogeneous, medium, is studied without the usual small-angle approximation. An expansion in spherical harmonics is carried out which is rapidly convergent in the case of large-angle scattering, whose coefficients can be exactly determined, and which leads to

BREMSSTRAHLUNG FROM MULTIPLE SCATTERING
Nuclear Physics, 1958Abstract It has been predicted, by largely classical arguments, that destructive interference of the radiation from the many collisions greatly reduces the rate of energy loss by very high energy electrons undergoing multiple scattering. It is observed that this is incompatible with a standard formula in classical theory, and the discrepancy is ...

Introduction to (Multiple) Scattering Theory
2018In this introductory chapter, we develop the scattering theory necessary to understand the theoretical models underlying the multiple scattering codes. First, the elementary theory is presented and it is then formalized to introduce the different operators whose matrix elements are computed in the codes.

Multiple-scattering lidar equation
Applied Optics, 1996A multiple-scattering lidar equation is derived from a phenomenological representation of the scattering processes. The contributions are separated into the unscattered, singly scattered, and multiply scattered illumination of the scattering volume, a single backscattering reflection from that volume, and the unscattered and multiply scattered ...
