H4K12 Lactylation Impairs Dopaminergic Neuron Energy Metabolism via the HIF‐1α/NDUFS1 Pathway in Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lactate and H4K12la are elevated in Parkinson's disease. Mechanistically, p300‐mediated H4K12la enrichment at the HIF‐1α promoter upregulates HIF‐1α, which represses Ndufs1, impairing mitochondrial respiration and energy homeostasis in DA neurons.

Donor‐Cell Senescence Redirects PINK1‐Marked Mitochondrial Cargo From Mitophagy to Microvesicle Transfer Through SUMO3‐Stabilized HSPA9

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Extracellular vesicle therapies have been developed for tissue repair, but how donor‐cell senescence reshapes vesicle‐mediated mitochondrial transfer remains unclear. Here, we show that senescent adipose‐derived stem cells (ADSCs) redirect damaged mitochondria into microvesicles (MVs), converting protective vesicles into pro‐degenerative ...

A Multi‐Structural Radiomic Digital Phenotyping Framework for Deciphering Preclinical Evolution of Degenerative Meniscal Tears

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Subclinical matrix disruption precedes degenerative meniscal tears across the knee joint. A spatial compartmental radiomics model utilizing 3D‐DESS MRI captures early osteochondral destabilization, accurately predicting incident tears up to four years pre‐collapse. Feature attributions uncover coordinated chondral and osseous alterations, advancing non‐

Chronotype and Peripheral Clock Genes: Association With Frailty and Insomnia in Mexican Older Adults

open access: yesAGING MEDICINE, EarlyView.
Chronotype, insomnia, frailty, and peripheral clock gene expression were evaluated in community‐dwelling older adults. Extreme morning chronotype was associated with lower odds of insomnia, whereas women showed higher odds of insomnia. Pre‐frail and frail participants exhibited lower peripheral clock gene expression patterns than robust individuals ...

B/ordering and healthcare access for migrants with precarious status: The role of healthcare workers in counteracting restrictive policies

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Community Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract In Canada, precarious migration is largely invisibilized. Nonetheless, b/ordering greatly affects people's realities by limiting access to social rights. In Quebec, migrants with precarious status (MPS) do not have access to healthcare, although Quebec has a “universal” healthcare coverage.

Firearm carrying practices and motivations: A mixed methods study among adults and youth

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Community Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract The purpose of this participatory action, mixed methods research study was to identify motivations related to firearm carrying from a qualitative perspective, and then to use quantitative research to characterize the patterns of motivations around carrying.

Sexual dysfunction in multiple sclerosis

open access: yes, 2009
Multiple sclerosis is a chronic disease that commonly affects young adults who may be sexually active. Sexual dysfunction is a significant, but often underestimated, symptom of multiple sclerosis, affecting 50-90% of men and 40-80% of women. The types of

Proteomic Profiling of Nodal T‐Follicular Helper Cell Lymphoma Reveals Distinct Biological Signatures and Improves Prognostic Stratification Beyond the IPI

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Nodal T‐follicular helper cell lymphoma (nTFHL), most commonly of angioimmunoblastic type, exhibits heterogeneous clinical outcomes that are not fully explained by current clinical and biological variables. While genetic alterations have been extensively investigated, its proteomic landscape remains largely unexplored.
