Multiple Shoot Tip Cultures in Peas

open access: yesThe American Biology Teacher, 1997
A N exciting and important plant tissue culture technique is the culturing of shoot tips for propagation. Students enjoy watching them grow and experimenting with the factors that make them multiply. They are used for rapid asexual propagation of many economically important plants (Rice 1992).

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Physical fitness and shooting accuracy: an evaluative study on early adolescent archery athletes

open access: yesSriwijaya Journal of Sport
Research Problem: Accuracy in archery is a crucial aspect that must be supported by optimal physical fitness to achieve consistent shooting performance. Research Objective: This study aims to evaluate the components of physical fitness and examine their ...

Network Localization of Fatigue in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Fatigue is among the most common symptoms and one of the main factors determining the quality of life in multiple sclerosis (MS). However, the neurobiological mechanisms underlying fatigue are not fully understood. Here we studied lesion locations and their connections in individuals with MS, aiming to identify brain networks ...

Association of Corticospinal Tract Asymmetry With Ambulatory Ability After Intracerebral Hemorrhage

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Ambulatory ability after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is important to patients. We tested whether asymmetry between ipsi‐ and contra‐lesional corticospinal tracts (CSTs) assessed by diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is associated with post‐ICH ambulation.

GYRE: A New Open-Source Stellar Oscillation Code

open access: yes, 2013
We introduce GYRE, a new open-source stellar oscillation code which solves the adiabatic/non-adiabatic pulsation equations using a novel Magnus Multiple Shooting (MMS) numerical scheme.

Value of MRI Outcomes for Preventive and Early‐Stage Trials in Spinocerebellar Ataxias 1 and 3

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To examine the value of MRI outcomes as endpoints for preventive and early‐stage trials of two polyglutamine spinocerebellar ataxias (SCAs). Methods A cohort of 100 participants (23 SCA1, 63 SCA3, median Scale for the Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) score = 5, 42% preataxic, and 14 gene‐negative controls) was scanned at 3T up ...

Development for Multisensor and Virtual Simulator–Based Automatic Broadcast Shooting System

open access: yesInternational Journal of Digital Multimedia Broadcasting, 2022
To solve the limitations of complexity and repeatability of existing broadcast filming systems, a new broadcast filming system was developed. In particular, for Korean music broadcasts, the shooting sequence is stage and lighting installation, rehearsal,

Multiple Shooting

open access: yes, 1985
The purpose of this report was to study the Multiple Shooting method, a numerical method to solve boundary value ordinary differential equation. A FORTRAN program was written to solve the specific problem. y'' = -y, y(0) = 0, y( /2) = 1 on a microcomputer, using the microsoft FORTRAN compiler and the 8087 coprocessor.
