Multiple spawning of the anchovyEngraulis capensis [PDF]

Ovary maturation and spawning behaviour of the anchovy Engraulis capensis are discussed. Histological examination of the testicular and ovarian tissue, together with observations of multiple modes in oocyte size frequency and gonadal indices, suggest serial spawning in the species.

Between and Within Bay Differences in Mesozooplankton Assemblages in the Central and Eastern Baltic Sea: An Exploratory Study
