A Survey of Herbig Ae/Be Multiplicity
Although the majority of Herbig Ae/Be (HAEBE) stars are likely multiple systems, relatively few multiples have been identified. We aim to create a statistically significant survey of HAEBE multiplicity as a function of stellar mass, to shed light on ...

Multiple stellar populations in Magellanic Cloud clusters – VI. A survey of multiple sequences and Be stars in young clusters [PDF]
The split main sequences (MSs) and extended MS turnoffs (eMSTOs) detected in a few young clusters have demonstrated that these stellar systems host multiple populations differing in a number of properties such as rotation and, possibly, age.We analyze ...

Complete ejection of OB stars from very young star clusters and the formation of multiple populations [PDF]
Recently, three stellar sequences separated in age by about 1 Myr were discovered in the Orion Nebula Cluster (ONC; Beccari et al. 2017). Kroupa et al. (2018) suggest that such small dense subpopulations eject all their OB stars via the decay of unstable

Multiplicity in 5 M⊙ stars [PDF]
AbstractBinary/multiple status can affect stars at all stages of their lifetimes: evolution onto the main sequence, properties on the main sequence, and subsequent evolution. 5 M⊙ stars have provided a wealth of information about the binary properties fairly massive stars.

In this study, we continue our project to search for unresolved binary and multiple systems in open clusters exploiting the photometric diagram (H–W2)–W1 versus W2–(BP–K) first introduced in Malofeeva et al. In particular, here we estimate the binary and

Modes of Multiple Star Formation [PDF]
This paper argues that star forming environments should be classified into finer divisions than the traditional isolated and clustered modes. Using the observed set of galactic open clusters and theoretical considerations regarding cluster formation, we estimate the fraction of star formation that takes place within clusters. We find that less than 10%

Multiple star systems in the Orion nebula [PDF]
This work presents an interferometric study of the massive-binary fraction in the Orion Trapezium cluster with the recently comissioned GRAVITY instrument. We observed a total of 16 stars of mainly OB spectral type. We find three previously unknown companions for θ1 Ori B, θ2 Ori B, and θ2 Ori C.

Chemical characterization of the globular cluster NGC 5634 associated to the Sagittarius dwarf spheroidal galaxy [PDF]
As part of our on-going project on the homogeneous chemical characterization of multiple stellar populations in globular clusters (GCs), we studied NGC 5634, associated to the Sagittarius dwarf spheroidal galaxy, using high-resolution spectroscopy of red
